Augmended Reality
This is some cool shit
https://youtube.com/watch?v=wKwLB...ature=youtu.be My developer knows how to do it. Just need to find the clients! |
that cool. Can't really see sitting in the dr's office and pulling out my phone and going to an app and looking at ads in the magazines....I just want to get to the damn dr! ha
should be interesting to see how it plays out
gotta be a million and one better ideas, however |

wtf, thats some cool beans
It's "augmented".
This isn't new. It has been around for 3 years or so already... I think its a good idea and it should be used more but for some reason it just isn't catching on...
Bring Google Glass into play and you might have a winner.
Wow, really cool stuff.
that is really cool

There are quite a few applications and supporting hardware companies perfecting augmented reality.
Innovega just demoed their AR contact lenses at CES. Wearable tech will be a game changer and most likely the tipping point for the widespread use of augmented reality. |

we are starting to work with this with a mainstream client. |
You should augmend your spelling.
Spell check trolls, displaying intellectual futility since 1996...
Amazing shit!
There is opensource libraries to do this, in fact it is more about finding paid application, or the wearable hardware...
AR Contact lenses: Typical application of AR is advertising info like this: Or stuff like this: |
very cool but in this example its predicated on print media which is a dying thing.
very interesting !
Augmented reality is my day job. I'm working at a company that is building a platform that will let people upload their own images and then augment it with 3D objects, videos, etc. Even navigation buttons and interaction elements. It's going to be launched and open to the public towards the end of this quarter.
Another way for us to disconnect from each other and become engrossed in technology
Cool stuff!

We're doing some really cool stuff with virtual and augmented reality right now actually, check out an article Vice did on us recently ( http motherboard.vice.com/blog/hackable-robot-assisted-virtual-sex-is-nigh ) and you can see an example of the Occulus Rift being used with our haptics. We're also working with augmented reality with glasses from AtheerLabs ( http atheerlabs.com ) and putting some stickers on the peripherals so that when you look down you see a CGI partner doing the business instead of the peripherals themselves, we've had early success overlaying recorded and live video as well!
Basically, for the price of a tablet computer (the sex robot itself is <200$ retail, the AR glasses or VR Occulus both targeted for <300$) you can have a full immersive and PHYSICAL virtual sex experience with AI/CGI partners, or REAL PEOPLE using the same setup in another state or country live. For the CGI our goal is for it to look something like this awesome music video: http vimeo.com/64378881. The value proposition is increased when you realize all the peripherals can be used for many applications once you buy them, not just sex. We're doing some real exciting stuff, it's very sci fi around here. We're still in development now and don't have an affiliate program to sell yet, but sign up for our user beta and watch this space for news on ways to monetize referral traffic sometime this spring. |
For the best of Augmented reality,
Please google CastAR by former Valve employees. They have created near holographic imagery in some apps. Lost some Dev Team members to Oculus but moving forward slower. There system is both VR , AR and Mixed Reality. Could see it in 2016 or sooner. |
Wow, that's soo cool! Now I need to know more about it. :D
Wow..crazy...
