.:::PussyCash NFL Pickem Pool: The Playoffs update

The Division Playoffs this weekend should be great. It's down to the last 8 teams and I don't recall seeing such high point spreads at this stage of it in past years. Then it's on to the two conference games and a few weeks after that the Superbowl.

Good luck to everyone in the pool but especially to the top contenders.

Remember -- these games are worth extra points.

Look, we have some new leaders...

So the Seahawks won but didn't cover, and in the pool the game ends up a tie.
Denver as well wins but did not cover.
The only teams that came through this weekend were the Patriots and my beloved 49'ers.

Next week it's the 9ers against the Seahawks,
and New England @ Denver.

I don't know which matchup is going to be more epic. Both games are going to be great though. SF on the road has been impressive of late, but they're going in to a stadium filled with thousands of the loudest loudmouthed fans in the league, maybe in the world. The rivalry between these two teams has arguably surpassed all others right now.

And then there's Brady vs Manning. About as classic a matchup as it gets.

AFC & NFC Championships should be amazing!

NaughtyRob 01-13-2014 07:34 PM

I am sucking bad the last two weeks, dropped from 2nd to 8th. Blah!

Spunky 01-13-2014 07:50 PM

Seahawks all the way!

CDSmith 01-14-2014 09:35 PM

I predict a 49ers-Broncos Superbowl matchup.

Hopefully with the niners taking it, but that damn Peyton & co. looks to be pretty unstoppable this year, like it's their destiny or something.

Poor Denver fans are going to be crushed if they don't deliver. :D

Gator 01-14-2014 10:59 PM

You can't count out the Patriots because their coaching is better than the Broncos. It comes down to execution by the players.

Broncos fans would be crushed if they lost because they set high expectations and take the game way too seriously. I imagine fans from other teams would be crushed too, some moreso than others. It is just a game though and a business. No need for any fans to be crushed about a game because there is a thing called life.

I see either 49ers v Broncos or Patriots v Seahawks. I am hoping for the latter.

CDSmith 01-15-2014 11:13 AM

Fact is you can't 'count out' any of the 4 remaining teams. Any one of them can win it all.

The lines are in:

Patriots
@
Broncos -4.5

'Niners
@
Seahawks -3.5

If you're still playing make your picks accordingly.

I am so looking forward to this game. 49'ers are the irresistable force, Seahawks the immovable object.

CDSmith 01-24-2014 11:08 AM

Those were two of the best divisional playoff games I've watched in some time. Some bad calls in the SF-Seattle game but that's the way it goes sometimes. Niners had the game in their hands and dropped the ball, the Seahawks persevered and eaked out the win.

One game to go. Is Peyton going to get his second SB ring or are the Seahawks going to get their first? This is going to be one entertaining finale, after which I'll announce all the pool winners.

djroof 01-24-2014 03:20 PM

Congrats 2 the winners!!!

If any team this year can derail the Peyton/Bronco train it's them.

CDSmith 01-30-2014 01:17 PM

All those still playing, reminder; get your final pick in.

It's worth a whopping 4x the points. :D

CDSmith 02-02-2014 04:31 PM

Here we go. Superbowl, game on.

If Peyton wins he becomes the only QB to win the Lombardi with two different teams.

(if he loses he sets the record for the QB with the most playoff losses with 12)

Seems most 49er fans, the ones who care anyway, are cheering for or otherwise predicting the Broncos getting the win. No self-respecting SF fan is going to root for their division rival the Seahawks.

CDSmith 02-02-2014 07:01 PM

So much for 'if Peyton wins' :D

It was a blowout in progress from basically the opening drive. Denver fans must be crushed. Crushed like their team.

brassmonkey 02-02-2014 07:24 PM

fuck it i gave up
