do you think this works?
I have noticed in the last few months that if you go on a site (say one that sells diy stuff) that if you go on a different site it has banners for that site, and often the banners show the products you just looked at.
For me I find it annoying. But do you think this converts? I would have thought I would have bought what I wanted already when I fisrt went on that site, so I fail to see the point of showing me it again. |
no!

Converts VERY well.

yes, it's called "retargeting"
|
Say I go to Amazon and buy the item. The next website I go to has ads for the same item over and over again.

google has been doing that for awile now guess it works.
|
I suppose it must work because it will have been proven to statistically.
However the tech is not smart enough to recognise that it should stop retargeting when you have actually bought the product. I would be interested in adult applications.......... |

I find it very annoying. They always show up after I have bought something. I just bought a pair of shoes three weeks ago, still seeing ads of the same exact shoes I bought.
