Best Remote Desktop Service?
 

Been using logmein free, but now they are ditching their free version and going paid only, which is OK, but they charge $449 a year for up to 10 computers. Is there any other alternatives that offer similar service at a better price? $37 a month seems a bit steep. Maybe there is a similar service that doesn't have the 10 computer limit?

What you need is a VNC client, there are a lot of free ones. If you're connecting to a Windows machine try a Remote Desktop (RDP) client, this is actually a better protocol as it does not stream screenshots but actually rebuilds the Windows interface locally so to speak, less lag.

GoToMyPC was alright.

Teamviewer appears to be free for personal use with unlimited computers. Anyone use it before?

both works for me.

I was under the impression rdp only works with certain versions of windows. Most of the machines I have are running win7 home premium, which wont work from what I have read.

teamviewer even works on my android gprs connection, yes with lag but sometimes when i need access to pc to do something i do it that way, great what to say, use it!

Yes it works good. better then logmein I would say.
