Help me with godaddy renewal code :)

Looking for code for .com renewals.
I used to find them here:
http://www.dealtaker.com/Go-Daddy-co...de-a528-c.html
And I used to use renewal codes from there for years.
Today it suddenly does not work. I am speaking about that 8.99$ code. At least not for renewals.

Is there any other 8.99$ renewal code?

Thanks!

whOaKemosabe 02-06-2014 09:48 PM

use code IlIKEPOO22

I just gave you a link. I used to get them there for few years.
When you see now there is one 7.99$ and one 8.99$ code. So that cheaper one was supposed to be for new regs. and transfers and the more expensive one was supposed to work on renewals as well. It was like that for years.
Now that 8.99$ does not work on renewals.

Hm... it seems it doesn't work anymore indeed... I have currently only about 25 domains there and slowly transfer them to Namesilo.

$8.99 / domain, or $8.39 (I think for a transfer), which includes whois privacy, domain security and DNS services, and no hunting for coupons (and no upsells). I've become a real fan of them.

It is interesting. Maybe someone who is up to date in domain industry heard something about this? It used to work for years, maybe some policy change by godaddy regarding renewal coupons.

renew: gdbbx1705
new: sas599

the cheapest you can get renewals at godaddy for now is 9.99 plus icann using coupon code that lucas posted unless you join the domain discount club which costs 90 bucks and makes renewals 8.29 plus icann.

So it looks like they raised their coupon related prices by 10%+. Last month it was 8.99$ (and last year it was 8.49$, but after that icaan raised the price as far as I know). I assumed 8.49>8.99 spike was due to icaan, but was not sure whats up about 8.99>9.99 spike.

its pretty lame. i don't get why they are doing that. a $1 increase for no reason is pretty huge.

Because they can.

Let's face it, most people will likely not migrate away from them. People might complain a little, but then that's about it. There's a real push by GoDaddy these days to get people to join their Domain Discount Club. I just personally see no point in doing so when I can save the $90, get the domains and all the extras for the same price as what the "Discount Club" would give me anyway.

The reality is, there are better registrars out there. The key is in finding the one that's the right blend of price, service, ease of use, support and features for yourself.

What does it have to do with "afford"? Why should I waste 13$ per domain when I can spend 9-10?
Those who spend without getting the best deal just because they "can afford" usually are broke because they lack money management skills.
And I have you on ignore because of your never ending "I like poo" and "I can't afford" shit posts.

Promo code BIGWIN30 was successfully applied!

ICANN Fees* C$2.94
Total cost C$149.84
Total savings C$62.96

Thats 14 domains :(

:thumbsup for namesilo.com

i recently purchased domain from a guy who had it registered there and i wanted an immediate push so i registered.

looks like a decent registrar and i am hearing only good stuff about them so within renewal time i might move a bunch of domains there, really no point of wasting time with godaddy coupons (i have some domains 12+ years there) if they are still more expensive than namesilo + free privacy is a big plus.

LeeD 02-07-2014 02:35 PM

Not sure if it still does it, but it used to be that if you did a google search for godaddy or domains or another related word it would have a Godaddy ad at the top for $7.99 domains. All you had to do was click it and it automatically gave you $7.99 .coms. I don't know if it still does that though, but may be worth a try.

enom reseller gets a good price but you need to preload $5000 or something. i don't trust smaller registrars like namesilo. i know godaddy isn't going anywhere so i use them. not sure who else is really that great.

For new registrations/transfers usually. There is 7.99$ new reg code in the link I posted above.

If ya have close to 300 domains makes sense to join their discount club. Can use a coupon for the discount club to bring it to $58.49 and then your paying $8.47 on .com renewals. I have 500+ with GoDaddy so the savings on renewals pays the $58.49 for the club and puts a little $ in my pocket as well.
