I'm among the last to hand Putin or Russia credit for anything - but considering the complexity of the opening ceremonies, a few technical gaffs were bound to happen...just like anywhere in life.

The wife and I watched the show from start to finish last night - and we both thought they did a marvelous job.

Same, I'm not a fan of Putin or the direction he's taken Russia which is to the precipice of another Cold War but I thought the opening ceremonies were pretty spectacular artistically and technically. The large number of empty seats was sad.

Aside from a couple of glitches I thought it was a good opening ceremony. I especially liked the video on the floor. The ocean and ship was pretty cool.
