Amazon? (Daft question - if I sign up via amazon.CO.UK, do I only get credited for UK sales?), are there better affiliate programmes?

jeeze! I just asked and according to their rep, links don't work across borders so a sale made on amazon.co.uk from a .com link is not credited! I'm not going with them!

this is turning out to be much harder than I thought.

Thinking about it, surely that's not right? that's what they told me but that just doesn't make sense to me, it would mean that even if my site is international I can only make sales from British surfers!?!
