There was also a ex police chief that shot a guy over texting in a movie theater here in FL. These idiots get guns and then it makes them paranoid and they shoot first think second.

I love Florida.

There's nothing paranoid in getting pissed off about someone texting in a theater.

I agree with this assessment of the incident. As America continues the downward spiral into oblivion there will be more and more of these "short fuse" types crimes. Road rage is up with horns blaring and middle fingers erect.

People are feeling insignificant and marginalized as the middle class gasps and takes its last few remaining breaths.

Ghetto lifestyle is marketed as fashionable and even desirable. Uselessness is rewarded and admired. Hard work is ignored and actually seen as a waste of time in this new America.

Part of the ghetto lifestyle is rudeness being seen as normal. Common courtesy is totally foreign to these uneducated masses and courtesy is actually seen as a weakness and therefore shunned.

Incidents like this are only the beginning. We are going to see a steady increase of violence...mall shootings...work place shootings (going postal)...and of course, racially motivated conflicts increasing as well.

Saw part of his trial on CNN today. He was just as I thought he would be. A little girl who is terrified of the world. He used words like flabbergasted, evening wear and he said he likes to take his dog Charlie out for potty time. Of course he's scared of black people.

From his description, if it's all true --- did sound like a threatening situation. But he would have never put himself in that situation if he didn't have a gun in the car. There's no way this guy would ask a car full of black kids to turn their music down, just like George Zimmerman wouldn't have the guts to follow a kid in a hoodie without his 9mm second dick.

i think it would have been easier for him to just walk or drive away.
who cares if someone has loud music in their car?

Would also be easier to not provoke responses from the general public you are purposely annoying in a self centered attempt for attention. You just might annoy the wrong person then what?

That's what I'm saying. Whenever there's an annoying idiot in my radius, I remember he/she will be out of my life very soon so I can suffer through whatever. As long as it means I don't have to get into a "thing". Because a thing will usually happen.

Being an annoying, loud person is a symptom of being the type who will tell anyone to fuck off when confronted about their behavior. They may even want to get physical with you. Why bring that into your life when you can just wait a few moments and you'll never have to see them again? They can go on being assholes, and you can stay out of jail for accidentally killing someone. Not worth it.

I'm not sticking up for the shooter. I myself would have ignored the kids. The advise I'm giving is don't be surprised when someone snaps and shoots you for your rude disrespectful attitude or actions.

I can go damn near anywhere in Tampa and not have a problem, ever. I can also provoke a negative response within 5 minutes of leaving home if that's my goal. The "situation" regardless of any gross over reaction, is brought on by the person getting shot.

Even if the shooter is found guilty so what? "You" are still dead. And you are still dead because your own behavior pushed someone too far.

He already said he was afraid for his life. He referred to them as "thugs' and used "thug music" in his descriptions. He told the police they had a gun or weapon of some kind, but never said this to the woman he was with.

It may not be racially motivated, but it seems like it might have been.

Regardless, the real question about this trial is what happens next. Will be get off on the "Stand your Ground" law?

Have we really made the jump that now a "thug" refers to and only refers to a black male?

The fact is all states have stand your ground jury instructions, I'm using the "stand your ground" terminolgy since you've globbed on to the phrase.

For instance, here in California,

California Criminal Law instruction 3470:

"A defendant is not required to retreat. He or she is entitled to stand
his or her ground and defend himself or herself and, if reasonably
necessary, to pursue an assailant until the danger of (death/bodily
injury) has passed."


There is no duty to retreat from an attacker anywhere in the USA.

This is only pertaining to Castle Doctrine, but I'm sure there are other doctrines/laws as well, state-by-state?
