You ... didn't listen to it? I am dismayed. The Strauss is 10 minutes; the Gorecki is a beautiful piece. Listen to the soprano soloist. You have 10 minutes - try the Strauss.

Sorry - I thought you didn't listen to the Gorecki at all - I assume you have heard it before - Jessye Norman is sounding pretty amazing...

She could do that Gorecki piece so well.....

Yes it is probably his most popular piece - I actually saw it live and saw his Totus Tuus in a cathedral - his work really sounds good live as well.

I've never seen the vier letzte lieder live but I heard Jessye Norman in a premier at the Met - a unique voice.

I'm officially impressed, BTW, there are lots of Bach lovers on here but Polish avant-garde is advanced.
