Seems like a good opportunity to get into Bitcoins if you want to make some money. But you haters can continue to laugh. :)

armysmoke 02-14-2014 04:49 AM

This site http://coinmarketcap.com shows bitcoins at $624.

jscott 02-14-2014 05:23 AM

Ya I still don't get why people are looking at mtgox, they were a joke since long time ago. I guess for posting more for the "shock value".

bitcoinity/coinmarketcap/coinbase/bitstamp, hangout there to see the true bitcoin values :thumbsup

djroof 02-14-2014 06:40 AM

so another thing which will die soon?

jscott 02-14-2014 06:42 AM

mtgox as of now would be a good riddance

iSpyCams 02-14-2014 07:02 AM

It seems some recently exposed security vulnerabilities are causing confidence to waver, interested to see how this is addressed.

signupdamnit 02-14-2014 07:51 AM

I think the natural price is around $1. $100 maybe for a time due to speculation but the stable price is $1 +- $0.50. It's a bubble right now.

The value is what people are willing to pay. That's how the markets work. This isn't difficult to understand.

First of all, no. Second of all, where can you buy BTC for $325? This thread is predicated on nonsense due to people not understanding how the markets work. Mtgox sucks at development, and they are tanking because of it.

Just contact anyone who has their Bitcoins stuck on Mt Gox, I'm willing to bet you'll find quite a few who'll sign a contract to sell you their Bitcoins on the condition that you pay them upfront but you'll have to take the risk/gamble on whether or not Mt Gox eventually releases customers Bitcoins.

jscott 02-15-2014 08:26 AM

ok peace and chillout seeandsee

..... you're just posting bitcoin threads so i assume you follow it a little bit at least.... but if you are following you should know better than checking mtgox prices

I don't care what you think about mtgox bc value in this thread jesus :) , i just see BC droped at 325$ at mtgox, and lots of people fucked at mtgox. Do you agree?

jscott 02-15-2014 02:24 PM

But you "dont care" (your own words) anyways so what's the point? :)

HomerSimpson 02-15-2014 02:31 PM

price @MtGox is $399 and @BTC-E is $635 and so far was quite opposite (was always higher on MtGox than on BTC-E).

nexcom28 02-15-2014 02:37 PM

Where is the cheapest place to buy except mtgox and bitstamp?

I generally don't care about price because i don't have Bitcoins (if you don't understand this, i am sorry i can't explain to you better), but i care about people that got fucked at mtgox, you better know why they are fucked. I don't want people to get fucked elsewhere.

Do you agree they are fucked at mtgox, and their bitcoin value is fucked, or you think Bitcoin value on mtgox is all nice and shinny?

ps - it's 275$ now, really fucked if you ask me... And you sad this thread is pointless or something like that, but this shit looks real to me for people with BC stacked at mtgox...

SomeCreep 02-16-2014 04:34 AM

Bitcoin is a sad bubble. Will be absolutely worthless years from now.

And why?
Because of a critical flaw in the design?
Because free enterprise economy won't work?
Because P2P is anarchism?
Because open source is godless communism?
Because of religious reasons?

Just curios :Graucho

Paul 02-16-2014 08:26 AM

I think Mt Gox are incredibly incompetent but I think they'll allow withdrawals again once they are 100% sure they've fixed the problem. They're pathetic at PR and equally as useless fixing coding issues.

Just depends on how many people/hackers have taken advantage of the transaction malleability flaw through Mt Gox.

That's the fun with Bitcoin though, do you put trust in the exchange that has an actual registered business address or do you trust anonymous Russians on BTC-e or the Slovakians over at Bitstamp that are registered from a UK virtual postal address and don't answer emails about their lack of transparency.

Basically, what he's questioning is you putting "BTC 325$" as your title, because Bitcoin itself never dropped to $325, just the useless exchange Mtgox did, because of their own technical problems. People would look at the thread and think "Oh! BTC is down to $325!" when that's obviously not the case. Sure, people can buy (possibly worthless) BTC on Mtgox for that, but you can sell it all day long at the normal price on any competent exchange.

It's like pointing to a wrecked Ferrari in a junkyard and saying "See? Ferraris are down to $60,000!"

Thank you Edgeprod. Seeandsee I wasn't trying to pick a fight with you man, I meant exactly what Edgeprod is saying.

Just seemed wrong to put as bitcoin prices have dropped to $350. As of now the majority of the world are trading, buying, selling at $600-$650, (sorry to those who had $/btc stuck in mtgox :( :( )

Fair enough. Then the simple answer is no, BTC is not $325.
