Sly 02-15-2014 03:56 PM

I am a few episodes in now. I watched the first one last night, had a hard time stopping, LOL. Great show.

sicone 02-15-2014 04:01 PM

Just about to sit down to start watching, thinking I may start with the last episode of last season so I can refresh my mind with where it left off at.

The first episode had the sort of impact as the Game Of Thrones Red Wedding episode, loved it! :thumbsup

This show has the quality to last 5 seasons, great cast and outstanding writing!

I really like the concept of allowing people to watch the entire series when it suits them but it also sorta forces you to watch it all over a short space of time because if you don't then anyone who has watched it all can potentially spoil it on you

also, Netflix has changed their interface to start the next episode automatically --- which caters perfectly to a binge watcher.

I'm a huge fan of the original BBC series, so I really wondered how well this one would compare. I have to say, they're doing a fantastic job.

Good analogy. Having watch the original a million times, I knew what was coming, but the when, how, etc.. well done!

Nicky 02-16-2014 04:46 PM

Checking 2nd ep of 2nd season now

I watched that episode 2 days ago (now watching 9th already) and I already forgot what happened there?

Sid70 02-16-2014 05:11 PM

They killed Kate - bummer :\

How good is the 80s UK version of the show? Is it worth watching?

Edit your post Sid70, that's not cool spoiling it for those who haven't watched it yet

It was excellent. Very much worth watching.

Jesse1984 02-17-2014 06:42 AM

Binge watched the whole thing Friday and Saturday.

The ending was one of the most powerful season closings I have ever seen. My only complaint is how much they break the fourth wall with this show. I mean I get it, it's clever, but they do it just a bit too much for my taste.

PornDiscounts-V 02-17-2014 07:23 AM

Some more good shows

Broadchurch
The Fall
Top Of the Lake

PornDiscounts-V 02-17-2014 07:24 AM

Sherlock is good as well

I think it's genius
and I binge watched 13 episodes on Saturday
LOVED IT ALL

John-ACWM 02-17-2014 10:38 AM

Still have to see season I, Kevin Spacey is one of my all time favorites.

That's one of the things I like the most, very few shows use it and it makes this show quite original.

The first time I saw it being used was in Fight Club in 1999, great when used right.

I thought the dual between Frank Underwood & Raymond Tusk was as good as the battle of wits between Walter White & Gustavo Fring in season 4 of Breaking Bad!

10/10 in quality

I read this message before watching and maybe my expectations were too hight, but season finale was predictable and nothing unexpected happened.
After your post I was expecting a bang or at least something shaky (not in favor to the scumbag).

Series are very good overall.

MaxCandy 02-18-2014 04:16 AM

Watched the entire second season in 14 hours straight!

Damn fine TV
