Fix your 404s...

These 404s are not generated because a part of a site is broken. These 404s are generated when surfers try to see if there is a directory with more content. We used to do this with tgp galleries, naming the directories like "gallery001" and the next one "gallery004" etc. The number of surfers trying to look for the dirs in between was amazing..

Same for hotlinkers, there was a lovely script called AHL (Antihotlinker) that would allow hotlinking of videos for a short period of time.. hotlinkers put the urls on surfer forums to share direct links to vids with others and after the time set run out ,the script activated the hotlínk protection resulting in hundreds of freeloaders being redirected to a page of choice. Easy money.

Good point. Why not just redirect those to the index or a similar/random page, though? Aren't 404 CPMs really shitty?

If you did, you would find out that Buy404s pay $4 per 1k of 404 redirects (good countries). Well it is a bit lower these days, 85% of normal rates, but still it is guaranteed money compared to anything that requires surfers to join ,even if it is free as the ratios are shit. Tested it for years and 404 is the shittiest traffic for joins.

Back in the TGP era, I was paying my submission accounts with this cash, did around $1,2k monthly from those at the beginning.

Sending these ppl back to the main page would be stupid as they are freeloaders anyways.

If they pay that money per 1k, there is nothing better for 404s i think.
But back in time that was freeloader traffic, god knows what type is now :)
