Ever feel overwhelmed ?

thread probably sounds kinda punky...but I mean generally speaking.

Like if ur a webmaster like me, and feel like doing a million things at once.

Or you read a thread here , and are like :

"oh wow, I gotta do that"...

or..

"oh wow, I gotta sign up for that"...

or..

"oh wow, I gotta fix that coding on my site"..

or..

"I gotta figure out why i'm not getting signups from that site / or that affiliate program"...

or...

"I wonder if that site is ripping me off"..

or...

"I really need another helper....but I don't trust anyone...so mine as well do it myself".

or...

" I gotta hit that booty"

or...

" I don't have time to hit that booty"

To-do lists are your friend.

I use Workflowy (https://workflowy.com/), real easy to use web-based outliner - categorize different aspects of my work & projects, domestic stuff, etc. Once you've got them down its so much easier on your brain and lets you dedicated that energy towards a plan of attack.

thx, maybe i'll check it out.

would be cool if they showed more of how it works, instead of initially spammin us with the email entry.

To Do and Priority lists will greatly help your anxiety. Anxiety happens when you don't really know what to do, these two lists eliminate that problem completely.

Keep it very simple to start, when you start your workday, or the night before, get a slip of paper and write down 3-5 things to do that day, scratch through each one as you accomplish it. If you start off with too few, add a couple the next day, if you start off with too many, dial it back or if the task takes longer than 1 day, carry it over.

After you accilimate yourself to doing things this way, expand into a smartphone app or workflowy.

I agree with this as well.

I have a nice system right now, that I created, but it started out as a simple text based list. Every time I tried using a fancy app or gadget it just led nowhere. Simple text is where you should start. Expand from that.

Rome wasn't built in a day. You are building your own Rome: productivity.

Yup!
I use this tool: https://en.todoist.com/ just for general reminders, etc...
Gonna look at (https://workflowy.com/) though, too!

I make lists, as I scratch shit off new shit continually appears. Brain is always thinking what can I do now which is good $ wise but sometimes be nice to say fuck everything and chill out which is hard for me to do as I think I kinda enjoy the stress of overloading myself.

It's kinda a good and bad thing. I feel the same way at times.

In a way, I feel like it's expanding my brain's capacity by going to so many different avenues at a time (in my head) ... 1 second i'm fixing the coding here...the next second i'm dealing with a marketer there....and 3 seconds later I could be in 'purchaser' mode....finding a deal on a new domain....or helping another webmaster out.

My biggest problem is from waking up > getting straight to work. No matter how strict I am with myself when waking up....I always seem to dope off and spend long amounts of time on other sites for new info. ( no, not just porn sites) Or even just news or gossip sites... arghhh.. all the time I waste on stupid stuff.

Good to see i'm not the only one.

Dunno what it is about February, but always seems to be my most productive month of the year...every year.

March = gotta start worrying about taxes...

April = the weather's gettin warmer

May = F'it ....it's almost summer.

EDIT : just noticed this...a cool online looking Whiteboard - http://awwapp.com/draw.html
