is a shit cam...weird picture and loses focus like all the time...you switch off the manual auto focus and the problem goes away for a few minutes and then BAM! you lose focus again...

its predecessor the 9000 model was waaaay better and actually gave a much clearer and more natural picture...if you are a webcam model or have models the c910 will cost you money and the 9000 will make you money...

do not waste money on this camera...get the 9000 on ebay new or used...

if you want super sharp pics get ready to dish out $$ for a real camcorder and a video capture card...then you need super fast internet to actually stream in HD...them new USB3 digital cams kick ass also...but if you are serious about camming you need a capture card and remote controls....

Excellent camera. Highly recommended.

The Logitec 900 Series is the best value for the money.

A good tripod with a remote pan/tilt is the expensive part.
The computer software type pan tilt controls are difficult to work with a sex toy in use :P

Sure, studios use pan/tilt/zoom remote with pro cameras and capture cards but we are talking a lot of money per model booth to start.

Professional cam studios don't use $100 Logitec webcams ...

I would not recommend this webcam as well for video closer than 2 meters.
In my opinion best option for closeup/portrait video is Sony EVI with remote PTZ control. It has very good sensor, works fine at low light conditions, fast and stable AF.
Keep in mind you may need good capture card to be able to use Sony EVI.

It's useless to have a good webcam if you don't have a good pc and good light too!

There is a good solution in middle, the Logitech conference cam:

Also note the Sony EVI, except too expensive, it is old analogic video digitized via a card on pc, the colors and detail resuting is worst quality (and worst compressed by codec) than a logitech recent cam. Best it is digital cams over pan/tils, but the pan/tilts are hard to find and is broken to repair; with conferencecams of Logitech (or similar) you make it easier.

does it loose focus? can the auto focus remain off? can you hear the motor when it moves?

thanks for any info...
