What Does the year B.C. stand for

b.c. in terms of year and A.D. The whole world seems to go with this calendar even everyone on this forum.

kumanaz 03-04-2014 11:32 PM

B.C - Before Christ (was) Born

ottopottomouse 03-04-2014 11:34 PM

Christian calendar used by most countries as a standard starting date. BC is Before Christ.

lakerslive 03-04-2014 11:36 PM

thats right. Woooooorrrdd

Milan_Quantox 03-05-2014 08:00 AM

And A.D. is Anno Domini :thumbsup

dehash 03-05-2014 08:25 AM

That's a dates modern history can only guess about. Who knows what was 2000 years ago and was that really 2000 years ago. We even don't know what was 200-300 years ago.

Correct.

You will see it sometimes called "B.C.E." (Before Common Era) by politically correct assholes but the world still uses B.C.

Harmon 03-05-2014 08:37 AM

Why not use Google? It just seems like it would have been faster than here and typing out a thread title and filler content. :winkwink:

Before Calendar is what B.C means.. don't let these religious nuts lie to you. They try to make everything about Jesus around here.

mikesinner 03-05-2014 08:46 AM

BCE is the abbreviation for Before the Common Era, you don't have to use B.C to suck the Christian mythology cock.

After BC calendars changed many many times. And who knows who did what.
By the way don't forget to go one hour forward on Sunday 9th at 2 am. Nevermind, your cellphones will do it anyway.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh Yeah, you can just re-write history.

I have to ask; does AD not mean Anno Domini - The year of our lord?

mikesinner 03-05-2014 09:09 AM

Could be before Caesar since the Julian calender started around the same time.

That's pretty much the agenda around here. Deny, deflect, deny.

Just as the OP had an agenda, having already known the answer to the question but wanting to ever so subtley 'drive a point home' to the heathen masses.

Everyone has an agenda it seems.
