HAHA "Fuck THE EU" Snr US State Dept. official caught in alleged phone chat on Ukraine

A senior US State Department official has allegedly been caught giving an unexpected message to the EU while discussing Ukrainian opposition leaders? roles in the country?s future government. The phone call was taped and posted on YouTube.

"F**k the EU," Assistant Secretary of State for Europe Victoria Nuland allegedly said in a recent phone call with US ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, as the two were discussing a deal to end the crisis in Ukraine.

The four-minute video - titled ?Maidan puppets,? referring to Independence Square in Ukraine?s capital - was uploaded by an anonymous user. The origin of the recording is not clear. The video was first reported in the Kyiv Post.

The US State Department did not deny the authenticity of the video and stressed that Nuland had apologized for the "reported comments."

What is more interesting about this is that it's actually news.

Do people really think that diplomats or representatives of Country XYZ do not say "fuck Country ABC" every now and then?

Most guys say it about their wives daily…

Diplomats? No, those two-faced liars never use such words. Those ones that use them are feel really fucked up with "ABC" country. IMHO :2 cents:

If you read the article its about the US medling with the New Ukrainian Gov

I was also amazed that the other recording put out about the leaked telephone call between the Estonian foreign minister and the EU foreign affairs chief Catherine about just who the snipers actully were and that they were shooting at both the police and the demonstraters has not been aried on any of the western mainstream media outlets. The video is here http://youtu.be/ZEgJ0oo3OA8

it was yesterday.

however that sort of topic isn't talked about in 'western MSM', and is considered propaganda put out by the evil soviets

yep that vid was yesterday and yup you are right about the western media too. The BBC is supposed to be "unbiased" in its reporting but its far from it, and they only tell you one side of what the western world wants to hear

comes down to ownership.

would you have one of your media outlets talk poorly about one of your resource outlets? or, if you had a job that was in danger, would you question one of the arms of the corporation you work for?

UK media has gone beyond 'unbiased or biased'.. they are arresting reporters, going after full papers, and using terrorism laws to do it.

Jesus christ you guys...

First off, the recording the OP posted happened a month ago. It's been discussed on here, it's old news, and if you don't think diplomats of all countries say "fuck so-and-so leader" or "fuck so-and-so country" when they're frustrated and don't realize they're being recorded..... I dunno what to tell you. It's non-news.

The Estonian foreign minister thing - it's just a dude speculating. There's no fact or substance, "it's just like his opinion, man". Where in any of that is any compelling evidence or anything?

So many of you people are acting like you're being all subversive, but you're really just spouting off more excuses for a powerful country to deploy troops in a sovereign neighbor and intimidate them. The Western media sure as hell distorts things according to its agenda, but you think RT - the media propaganda wing of the Russian government - doesn't???

I live in the West but I sure as hell marched & protested against USA action in Iraq and Afghanistan. I had friends in Serbia during the NATO bombing. My own family lives in the weird limbo of a US Commonwealth (Puerto Rico) and many of them are pro-independence (or were, until the economy went south, currently it's not in their interest anymore). I am very very critical of US and Western foreign policy and the double standard applied, and yes, the indignance of the West is a bit hypocritical.

That being said, what Putin is doing is wrong. Just as the West was wrong in those previous cases. Everyone gets so wrapped up in their tribal ties and their ego involved with ideology, they miss the forest for the trees. Big countries shouldn't bully little countries. End of story.

Exactly. You don't think every EU government official hasn't said "Fuck the USA" at least once.

Dude, come on... where did I say Fox News is anything but a joke? Do you actually read those emails you linked and think they're not a really really poorly executed fake?

But whatever, I said my piece. And the next time the USA or China or whatever other superpower sends troops into a sovereign nation against their will, I'll call them out too and the people who are defending that shit. If you want to be an apologist for Russia's actions here, you're perfectly free to do so.

lost the game :)

btw, Russia has a treaty with the Ukrainians, and have paid them millions, and forgiven millions in order to have that Naval Base, and the treaty that allows them 25k troops.

i don't think you, or me for that matter, is in any position to judge the actions of others for violating sovereign nations.

I was confused at the point of your "game" because that RT fusion article you linked itself cites/quotes USA Today (which is a POS, but whatever) and Nature articles that both already covered the story.

The New York Times covered it too: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/13/sc...n-advance.html

I'm sure others did also. Is this game some rhetorical snare you wanted me to walk into, or did you really think that it was some secret story repressed by the Illuminati even though your original article quotes crappy mainstream US news sources?

well, cause you're trying to set it up like a fox news propaganda arm.. and now we are quite sure RT is covering the scientific achievements of its Rivals.

Pretty good eh? :)

Nope, because they are pretty much the Russian analogue despite whatever weird random "proof" you're claiming some science article is. Feel free to disagree, it's your opinion.

facepalm @deltav @Rochard

Of course, people from land of 'I eat 12000 calories / day' know better than top EU (pro-Euromaidan) diplomat.

Paet: "there is no trust of the people in the new government"
"all of them in the new government have a dirty past"
"the trust and security level towards the new government is absolutely low"
"enormous pressure against members of parliament"
"uninvited visitors enter in the night on party members"
"the new coalition now don't want to investigate"
"it discredited itself from the very beginning this new coalition"

Only idiots and people (Soros, Omidyar, ukrainian oligarchs, USA, UK...) who invested billions in Euromaidan think this 'new-government' is legal. The legally elected president Yanukovych asked for help from the Russians. The other thing is just another NATO/EU crime.

and yes, Yanukovych is an idiot corrupt clown like Yatsenyuk, Klitschko, Tymoshenko etc. Ukrainians are similar to americans. They are dumb. Nothing will ever change.

Only reason I care because Tyahnybok (fascist clown) wants to re-establish Ukraine as a nuclear power. Wtf??!

!

This is not a "new" government. The Ukrainian parliament voted on removing the President; Everyone in the parliament was voted into office by the Ukrainians. The legally elected president was legally removed from office by the legally elected parliament.

The fact that the former President fled the country says it all.

I see western MSM propaganda is working better than ever.

There are three ways of removing a president under ukrainian law: 'one is his death, the other is when he personally steps down, and the third is impeachment'.
None of this ever happened. So I have no idea what you're talking about. "legally removed from office by the legally elected parliament." lol

That can be done only via impeachment procedure. So juridically Yanukovich is still remaining the one and only legit Ukrainian president :2 cents:
