thats sooooo cool

how long does it take to do one like that?

thegreatestporn 03-08-2014 05:51 PM

And that flies on youtube? I thought they were strict? Or is it because it's animation and considered art?

about 15 days... give or take a few.
the 3D is all done in Poser, and the video editing in After Effect.

I can appreciate what you're doing, but your work looks very flat. Needs some lighting help.

What render engine are you using?

no shit... it didn't even take them that long... so pornography is OK?
who makes the rules? or who has the insatiable pleasure and God given right to censor others? ...thankfully it's OK on deviantART:

does require a free account tho... sorry about that, gonna have a normal site up soon...

lighting has always been a weak point... could definitely use some help in that department.

it's Poser's FireFly engine... it's not bad, but for the same reason that live action has lighting experts, a 3D production needs one too ...know anyone that would fit the bill?

thanx for your time!

I haven't seen the video...I was going by the stills on Deviant Art. Give me a basic idea of your lighting rig.

Are you using a fill and rim? Global Illumination?

bronco67 03-10-2014 09:09 AM

Just saw the animation. You've got some great skill to get that much animation done. I don't know how long that took, but that's quite a bit. The rendering looks OK, but there's so much stuff out there with that Poser look, and this is kind of stuck there too. But you know what? If people are digging it and it's making you money, then it ain't broke and you don't need to fix anything.

At least you're actually doing something. I'm stuck paying bills with medical animation while my adult project is halted until I get some time to devote to it. I'd still like to make some clips for the d/l sites eventually, and get some input from you when I finally get to it. If there is actual money to be made there, I think I can crank out some nice stuff that will get buys.

...

ain't that the truth?
but that don't mean it can't be improved.

not sure how Global Illumination works, so the current scene is lit up with 5 main lights (for the characters: Main, Fill, Opposite, Top & Bottom), and a bunch of decorative lights:

how to get more of a film Noir look? right now it looks too evenly lit...

thanx for taking the time to help out bronco! :thumbsup
