Think I may be giving up on WD.

Damn it sucks ass to hear all this negative about the show. I was hoping for another good season. I have seen 1-3 and loved them. waiting on 4 to hit the stores near me.

So what would be better...just 45 minutes of zombies monotonously getting stabbed in the head? There was a ton of action in last night's episode.

I stopped watching after the cop's wife started banging the other cop. I want to watch Zombies die, not a fucking drama. I'm out.

I thought this season was great up until the last 2 episodes. I think the problem may be the show sucks unless Rick is in it.

The characters they are focusing on are boring as shit. Daryll is normally good but the lameness of Herschel's daughter overpowers him.

Lol, read the comic and you'll see why the show is going to shit, the author had zero idea of what to do past a certain point and just literally threw shit at the wall and hope something stuck. Nothing did and the end result is a shitfest.

AMC saw the potential of the first parts and they got a hit show out of it, now that they're starting to tread into ever more shit infested content they're basically lost unless the writers can figure out how to think for themselves.

Basically what I'm saying is find another show, this one is done.

yea last night's episode was pretty boring. not sure what the point of all this character development / backstory is when there are supposedly only 3 episodes left of the entire show

I guess I bashed TWD hard after I saw the first series, however the mix of soap opera and post-apocalyptic drama was too much to miss out on, even if for the crap value, so I couldn't help and watched also the second series, I guess the dramatic value improved, although it was quite a drag being spread out over 13 episodes.

Now the third series - I found that at least 100 pct. better than the past ones - in general much better momentum and pace, a good conflict, a charismatic villain, less annoying characters (as they tend to die) some surviving characters becoming less annoying over the course of time (apart from Carl - not sure if it's the actor, but his very lame impersonation of juvenile wanna be tough ass is almost brain damaging, even worse after his voice mutilated).

The fourth series (watched ten episodes yet) wasn't such a bad follow up although a bit inconsistent on the way up until the mid season finale, now it's lost and it looks like the soap opera writing prevailed again.

I still like it, and honestly, I'm into book 2 of the graphic novels, and so far I like the show better.

I gave up on keeping up with it a while back. Now I just wait for the seasons to wrap up and binge on them all at once.

Black Sails on Starz is has been great so far, so I've been watching that.

There is soooo much more in the way of stories in the TWD world. It's really only just begun and I imagine they will run this franchise into the ground before they stop making new episodes.

It has already been renewed for a 5th season. It is one of the highest rated shows on TV. I don't think it will be ending anytime soon.

The episode before this was ass.. Just booorrinng.. trying to squeeze some drama out of Daryll as if we give a shit. And WHAT THE FUCK. Yeah lets fry ourselves spending all night in a car boot.. but we find a nice house and naw... lets not sleep in it.. let's burn it. At night. Not wait til the morning when you're rested and ready to fight the day away.. not wait til morning when y'know.. you can see zombies coming.. No.. after a night of no sleep lets burn our shelter and turn it into massive zombie attraction beacon summing all zombies in a 10 mile radius to our location... In the dark.. where we can't see them in the bushes.. Oh and lets use moonshine which as both a consumeable and a fuel source is probably worth it's weight in silver at this point. Fuck you.

Splitting them up this much is turning out to be a terrible storytelling device. There is no reason they can't spend 5-10 minutes on each group each show, or beef up or down certain groups as the story requires. Last night was a LITTLE better in that regard following two groups.. but man..

Comics are much better than the TV show in my opinion. Can see why it's been adapted for TV but I really liked the Comics (I watched seasons 1 to 3 then read comics up to date).

It's just got a bit slow with each episode basically following 1 or 2 groups around and not focusing on them all. True Blood is a really good show for covering stuff happening with loads of people at once and I personally wish they'd do more of that.

I think it's more about the fascination with post-apocalyptia rather than just zombies. But also zombies I guess give survivors a free pass at shooting and blasting and killing anything zombie, which is probably why zombie-based video games like Left 4 Dead, L4D2 etc, are so popular.
