This would be about as effective as buying a saw from the hardware store and making a wooden saw with it. You'd be out the money you spent on wood and the time you spent making a useless wooden saw.

Someone was marketing a 3D printer and the first thing the machine was supposed to be used for was to print the parts to build another machine, to give to a friend.

You can only cut things softer than wood with it. Like Jews and Weather Forecasts.
