Help me out in my new career

I used to paint, getting back into it. I did this one with acrylics and graphite. I'm not attached to my paintings so if anybody wants to bid on it just post here. Will take Paypal or even bitcoins.

Nice try... :winkwink:

That is an Agnes Martin painting:

Quote:

Agnes Martin (1912-2004) "Loving Love"
signed, titled and dated 'a. martin 2000 Loving Love' (on the reverse and on the stretcher)
acrylic and graphite on canvas
60½ x 60¼ in. (153.7 x 153 cm.)
Painted in 2000.

"The only triumph in life is the triumph of life itself. Our awareness of it we feel as happiness. Art work represents this happiness. It does not represent life because life is infinite, dimensionless. It is consciousness itself. And that cannot be represented. But our positive response to life can be, has been, and is represented in art work" (A. Martin, quoted in "What We Do Not See If We Do Not See," Writings/Schriften, H. von Dieter Schwarz, New York, 1992, p. 114).
Quote:

In 2007, Martin's Loving Love (2000) was sold for $2.95 million at Christie's, New York.

Now that's a nice piece of art. I'd pay 25 bucks for that one though not sure where i'd hang a painting of a plain looking older lady.

looks decent, I'll start bidding at $10 if you can ship to the US...

mineistaken 03-22-2014 03:33 PM

What are the dimensions?

Nice_Nick 03-22-2014 03:37 PM

Looks like a printer test page to me. But sure I will go 11 bucks if you include free shipping to Europe.

Wow! Your painting is awesome and has a marvelous kind of negative capability... it even reminded me this scene from my favorite movie:
