This Is Why I Don't Buy Cars!
Ok I have been renting cars for over 8 years! People call me crazy or stupid. But Let me tell you something and this is no lie, every single fucking car I buy even from a dealer has a major problem with the car!!!!! I decided fuck it yesterday and I was going to buy a 2013 Chevy Cruze with low miles. I paid cash for the car brought it home and noticed my eyes where on fire and watering and the cars ac smelled like maple syrup. I Googled the problem and found this
http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local...y-cruze/nXcfm/ Now I have to return the car and pay over $700 to cancel the sale wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't notice the problem on the test drive because the sales person had a gallon of cologne on on him and that's all I could smell. |
Sounds like you didn't do your research. :2 cents:
Just keep a stack of pancakes on the passenger seat and you'll feel like your at IHOP. |
Unless you are going for something classy or exotic, I buy nothing but Honda or other reputable Jap brands.
All products I've had that are Honda made last forever. Other than Oil changes the Honda Civic I have I've done nothing to, 2004 new with over 155k miles and just spark plug changes and oil changes. Though a non interference engine, I need to get around to replacing the timing belt. Anyway, stupid people get what they deserve. :) |

When do people mostly buy a new car?
When milage, age and maintenance is not worth it anymore to put money in a car.... So... when buying an occasion change is high you pay for all that shit some other dude didn't want to pay for anymore... |
Currently drive a Honda with no issues and talked my Dad into getting one after he drove mine a few times. I just hit 30K and car is 3 1/2 years old as I live in the city so don't put many miles on anything. 7500-10000 of those miles is highway cruising to Florida and back a few times. New car wise I'd probably go Honda or Toyota. I've had plenty of American cars but mainly from the 70's. When I'm tired of the Honda may go with a Jeep just to battle the snow.

i like to lease and curb hop

I researched a lot before buying my Ford Focus and what engine to get. I did big service, and i hope it will run 50.000 with no unexcpected problems...

I have a sister in law like you... She somehow manages to run ever car she owns into the ground, usually in a few months. Right now she has a Mini Cooper which she's had for about a year now. The family is placing bets how much longer it will last.
I never have problems with cars. I have a beat up old pick up truck and the radiator died last year, but the truck is twenty-five years old so I can live with it. |
yeah, buy japanese cars, much better quality!

Funny thing, I have never had any problems with any new car I have purchased; probably because they have been Dodge products. |

Buying a used car can be a gamble, though...agreed. Best to do your homework, do some research online - when possible take someone along who knows vehicles. The wife and I just got back from the dealership - bought two new vehicles - a Kia Sorrento and Optima. Got a helluva deal on both...even went with AWD on the Sorrento and the fully loaded luxury package on the Optima (dbl. sunroof, Infinity sound system, frnt and rear heated seats, nav system, 10yr factory warranty...). |

This would make my stay away from Chevs for sure
"Federal records show a female Cruze driver suffered second-degree burns when her heater fell apart and spewed hot liquid on her feet as she drove." |

I've owned 13 cars and only 1 of them was second hand. Had no problems with it but unless you do your research on the car by taking it to a mechanic and really doing a proper inspection, you may get burned.

you buy used, you buy AS-IS. look up the definition of AS-IS. a used car dealership isn't responsible for original manufacturer build quality. if you want responsibility, you buy new and get a warranty, otherwise its AS-IS, especially from a third party completely unrelated to the actual car manufacturing and is simply reselling a used product. |

i happened to take a 2013 cruze out for a drive and my god those cars are so powerless. they have that ilink technology in them what a distraction when driving it could cause an accident you have to pull over every time to use it at least you would when you first start driving the car until you get suited to it.
i have three cars, but one of them i never drive anymore, it is a toyota. i might sell it and import an audi quattro from japan with the money. but then the importing regulations for this country are a real pain in the ass. :1orglaugh |
