That’s the cliff notes version. Now some details.

I’ve spent the last few months thinking about what I am going to do next. Do I go mainstream and start something new? Do I join a startup or two and help them grow? Do I buy a mainstream company and try to crush it? I’m not sure which direction I want to go. What I do know is the adult biz and i know how to make money. So I thought before I make a decision on my future that I’d see what is available in adult and see if there is a good fit for me.

What am I looking for?
I’m not looking for someone to pay me I’m looking for someone to make money with. It doesn’t matter what niche (gay or straight) or what area (billing, pay sites, tubes, cams, dating) I believe I can contribute in all of them. What matters is finding someone that I believe has a good product/business and more importantly someone that I think would benefit from what I can offer.

Teach that knowledge and become a mentor/partner in multiple "companies"

Your knowledge to someone relatively new would be priceless so to speak.

The truth is I've built a company from the ground up already. I've done that grind. When I did it it was worth every hour I spent doing it. I had no money, i was young and the time was right. I'm not interested in working 16 hours a day by myself to build up a new business.

Not too long ago I heard an interview with Rob from FTV where he was mentioning that this may be his last year. I know how he feels. I felt the same way the last few years before I sold. After 15 years the grind of running a business had worn me down. I needed a break. I know others feel that way too. Listening to him got me thinking an ideal situation may be partnering up with someone in that position that needs a break but wants their business well looked after and maybe even grown.

I have really enjoyed myself the past 3 years. Not working and enjoying life and enjoying my family has been great. To get me back in the ring will take a really unique opportunity. It makes no sense for me to start busting my ass for a few extra dollars a month. If I'm going to do anything it has to be big. Not only in terms of the money but the challenge and fun of it. My gut tells me somewhere out in the industry the right opportunity is there. We shall see :winkwink:

To be honest I have thought about that. As my posts probably indicate I like helping people. My thinking was to first look to see if there was a bigger opportunity available.

How would you set up a mentor/partnering service? What is the compensation? What is expected in return? What are the terms?

As an example let's say you and I work together. I can come up with a list of 10 things right off the bat that would change your business for the better. Whether you have thought about them or not doesn't matter what's more important is your ability to implement them. Can you? The reality of most smaller operations is they don't have the ability to implement the changes necessary to make strides towards growing. A great example is Porn Nerd. He busts his ass. He's a one man show and is doing his best to make money. He does a great job imo. He's honest and hard working. I could give him ideas all day long but he can't implement them. How do you work that situation out?
