When you shrink your browser window the lightbox ends up a fuck of a lot smaller than the thumbs. I'd try to get the picture to scale to 100% screen width, or better yet just make the thumbs fit the width of the screen when you get down into mobile phone range. I'd also just link to the images instead of using a lightbox at all. If they're on mobile and the thumbs are already scaled to the screen they're only going to want the large version if they want to zoom.
As an affiliate the thing I'd want to see is some kind of persistant call to action. At desktop size you pretty much always have a link visible while on mobile you'd have to actually scroll and look for it. Stick a footer to the bottom with the link?
I just tested this out on my desktop browser so I don't know if you're doing anything to maybe handle the lightboxes or whatever different on mobile, but if you're going for a real responsive design you've probably complicated things too much if you're relying on running a different script, at least in a case as simple as a gallery.
