Do you use Gooogle Public DNS?
If not then which DNS?
|
Yes, I have on some sites
|
Is this their paid service?
|
I personally prefer OpenDNS.
|
Their easy to remember IP is handy to know if you're stuck somewhere that DNS doesn't work, but for 99.999% of the time I use my own caching server.
|
I use their easy to remember DNS.. they are prolly monitoring everything I do.

I can't afford a DNS service.

Bunch of jokers around here being so silly.
|
I use OpenDNS
|
I use them only when my hosts DNS is not resloving/working
they're so easy to remember 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 sometimes I also use OpenDNS but don't use those to on daily basis... |
Just the other day I moved some sites from one server to another and the IP changed... Verizon took forever to catch up. Switch to Google DNS which is so easy to remember... bamb... back to working...
So then I made yet another switch. Google picked it up within 2 minutes. Verizon still didn't pick it up after 24 hours... |
I have been using http://freedns.afraid.org/ for the past couple of months on 2 of my domains. Works pretty good so far.

I use them on my desktop, laptop, and on my mining rigs. Rock solid, great tool.

We have a dns server in LA, Canada, NewYork, and London. This gets us around the world just fine.
