Amazon DNS or Google Cloud DNS Services?
 

Has anyone ever used Amazon 53 for DNS or the similar product from Google Cloud? Will pricing kill me on a 90k u/visitor site with 700k in page views daily?

imho its not that much expensive.

I use dnsmadeeasy and its very good, plus you can send an email and get promptly responses.

my competitor is using eurodns

why not just run dns on your own servers ?

Why do you look for dns services, is it to increase the speed of loading your domains?

it speeds up the DNS lookup process before surfer hitting your httpd.

So how good is this service like dnsmadeeasy compared with a hosts own dns?

Not to mention, a premium DNS provider can offer a reliable failover solution as well as assist in DDoS mitigation (depending on the type of attack of course).

Using Amazon Route 53 on 50k a day site... not a big deal at all...
