Embedding a FHG into Wordpress
Ok, so I know it sounds a bit daft but I have my reasons.
Basically, I have a fhg that I would like to add to wordpress (actually there are several). When I first tried adding the code none of the pictures showed because they are like /images/pic1234.jpg instead of using http:// Then I tried just copying the page and pasting it into wordpress and whilst it kind of worked all the images had a border around that I don't need and the text wasn't formatted correctly. Any idea how I can get these fhg's into wordpress easily? |
You may have to mess around in your theme's CSS, or make specific styles for your gallery to use.
Maybe check .img in your CSS, and remove the border there and make a new style you want for the text and use that with it. |
giv it up chri

Just save the images and create your own WP gallery pages.

Just use (search there are plenty of them) an image importing plugin. The one below will take images from a FHG, add them to wordpress and do the work for you.

all that is nice BUT
it wont do you any good cause: 1. text on FHG's is not unqiue = worthless SEO wise + duplicate content = can be cause for penalty/etc 2. all pics are not unique as well so = worthless again - they will never get you any SE traffic because sites with higher authority already have them, again, its autoblogging in a 2010 style = not worth doing today. in the end, you will get a manual penalty for "thin content" or something like that unless you create at least unique descriptions for those galleries/pics. again, embedding content into your WP blog (like galleries) can be done via iframe or just copy... none of those methods will give you any SEO benefits = pretty much waste of your time. Just my $0.02 Way to go is to do it hard way - pick stuff and write about it (yeah, no automated fun if you want to get SE traffic, well nothing that works well in a long term anyway). http://puu.sh/c7pRl/ddd9c2e447.jpg Put up pics, write decent header with your headers, put in rest of the pics with description. Works! |
