Completed my first site. Take a look?
 

I decided to make a tube site for fun. I may monetize it later (I do have one ad currently) but I'd like to get a boatload of content on board (I'll get into that) before taking the next step.

If you wouldn't mind taking a look and maybe giving your thoughts, I'd appreciate it, it's a POV niche site -

I broke down and dropped the $50 on WP-Tube-Plugin and I can't say I recommend it. It's supposed to cull content from 20+ sites but works, at this moment, with about 10 of them. There's some other issues I have with it as well that I won't go into. It's a good "starter" plugin but if you want more control and more advanced features, I'd look elsewhere.

I'm really getting fed up with this plugin though. Less and less of the "scrapers" are working. I'm considering scraping this and re-doing it as a WPXTube site but I have reservations about that as well as I've never been able to get one to work. Either the thumbs don't import or I get video access errors. I guess fighting with WPXTube is better than this POS though. Waste of money.

Edit: Yeah. screw wp-tube-plugin. I'm re-doing this. Why is it so goddamn hard to put together a working tube site?

I need to build a tube site also. Im not even gong to ask whats the problems you're having with that plug-in. Already read about too many complaints/problems.

Anywho, I haven't use these guys (MechBunny) yet but, Im going to. They are professional and have updates. They can create tube sites & scripts.

I spoke with them concerning the scrapers and the only issue would be is if/when the site your scraping from changes its code and then you would have to pay for a new scraper to match the site your scraping.

I'm far from giving up on WordPress, just really frustrated at the moment. I'm opening plugin PHP files in Dreamweaver and looking over the code to see if I can spot what's causing me issues. So far I've found one problem (the plugin is adding an extra "/" to files when it tries to write them, so instead of /public_html/wp-content/uploads/file.jpg, it's trying to write /public_html/wp-content/uploads//file.jpg, d'oh!) but some of this stuff is just baffling. I don't know if it's the plugin or my webhost or what.

I've only heard great things about MechBunny and, shit, for $999, that's the way it should be. Where are you planning on hosting your site?

I have that same issue with wpxtube. I think I'm gonna try tube ace or something else.

I know, it's driving me insane. I've noticed it happens in the same pattern on every page. The top several thumbs show up fine but the exact same number of thumbs, in the exact same location on every page are broken.

I'm still going through the plugin PHP files looking for the culprit but haven't come across anything yet. WPXTube is aware of the problem, I'm sure. I've sent several messages to them via their site and haven't received any response. I guess that's what you get for $0.

I think the design is great. You're missing thumbnails on certain videos though.

Good start, I like it but I'll add some critiques too.

1) You repeat "Your POV Tube" twice in the title. No reason to. Add some different keywords in there. Title is important for seo.

2) A LOT of the thumbs look the same even though they are from different videos. Like the first 10 or so that are bj vids. I get that's it POV so you're limited but I think you could mix it up a little more. The POV sex vid thumbs have much more variety.

3) I'd lose the Tag Cloud. Put a 160x600 ad there instead.

4) Put some random sites under Top XXX Sites. Webmasters usually hate linking to someone for nothing but it does help you if you link to relevant sites that your users might actually enjoy.
