everyone on facebook seems to be using a phone

I use google analytics to watch traffic in real time, when I post a link to my blog on FB the desktop percentage goes way down and my mobile traffic jumps to like 75%..I am just surprised so many people rely on phones...I also notice the countries that popup are Europe, middle east and south america

iSpyCams 04-10-2014 10:35 PM

Yep, won't be long till PC's are like landlines, you only find them in businesses and old people's houses.

venus 04-10-2014 10:46 PM

a phone cant compare to a PC....don't these kids (and foreigners) know this.

people just use phones for FB and social networking. It doesn't mean that these people don't own or use pc or laptops but FBing is just something people to do to pass time when not doing anything important.

venus 04-10-2014 11:02 PM

like taking pics of their dicks and then sending them to girls in messages? 5 min cant go buy without me getting a dick pic on there..I tell them they have to get my special email for dickpics from my site

Yeah, people are going to play FPS-games on their phones, they will also do a lot of typing on the phones because it's much faster than using a PC..............................

PCs wont be replaced by tiny phones anytime soon. :P

MBAWebDesigner 04-11-2014 02:56 AM

PC's go somewhere? Uhhhhh lol... yeah don't think that will ever happen when a majority of workers life are on computers and not on phones working, must keep the two seperate for many things.

georgeyw 04-11-2014 03:15 AM

Quite a few of my mates do not own a computer at all, everything is done on their phones.

These fuckers drive me nuts trying to show me their videos or other shit on their tiny ass screens.

I really do not understand how anyone can stand using their phones as their only access to anything online.

Uh, yes...right now they pretty much do. In the next year or so, you'll come home and plug your PC, er phone into your monitor and it will be your desktop. This is even possible to pull off now, you're adept.

ITraffic 04-11-2014 06:20 AM

pc sales are plummeting. in a couple years they will be only used for work and seniors.

ITraffic 04-11-2014 06:23 AM

if don't think that literally every damn person doesn't spent every damn minute staring into and pecking at their phone you need to get out of your office and interact with people in the real world. many people tell me that their new laptops just collect dust.

CaptainHowdy 04-11-2014 06:27 AM

Who cares??

I only use FB on my phone when waiting somewhere. If I'm on my PC I have better things to do then see what my friends are having for lunch.

KillerK 04-11-2014 07:52 AM

They use their phone because then work can't stop them.

Vendzilla 04-11-2014 08:33 AM

FB apps are getting a lot better

Sly 04-11-2014 08:41 AM

What does the average user do online? Read, social media, watch videos, shop, light research.

The average user has little need for actual computers, and as people continue phasing out their older phones, they will need computers less and less as their new phones can handle all of the above just fine.

Add the option of connecting their phone to their TV via Bluetooth and the small screen size is now gone. Connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the TV, or directly to the phone, and the typing issue is now gone.

I need computers. 100%. No argument. My mom? Not so much. Tablet is fine.

Seems like way more hassle than having an actual computer :2 cents:
And what you described may be called sort of computer anyways, just instead of having bigger box with CPU and all you have smaller one (mobile).

More hassle?

Have you ever connected your phone to another device via Bluetooth? I do it every morning. I connect my iPhone to my JamBox.

Here is the process: turn JamBox on.

That massive hassle of turning the device on just saved somebody hundreds of dollars and desktop space in their small apartment. :winkwink:

For your system to be as comfortable to use as PC/laptop you would need to connect keyboard + mouse.
So yes it is more hassle, plus lets say you are in the living room you won't be leaving keyboard/mouse on the table, you would have to take it out from a drawer or something.

Now in PC instance you would just switch a button.

For small apartments - laptop instead of PC.

And speaking about saving few hundreds - come on.. People who has smartphones, bluetooth TVs and stuff like that do not have any issue spending 400 on a computer. In
fact I do not imagine any person who has any issue buying a computer or laptop. And I live in a country with maybe 2 times lower GDP per capita than US.
So not sure if anybody doing your setup would think of "saving money".
