It does show how crappy TV used to be. Sort of makes reality TV appealing.

It was on HBO. His new show is on FX so they have some racy stuff, but not as much as they could do on HBO.

I remember that Soap episode... one of the TV channels in England used to broadcast the show on Friday nights at 11:30, and in those days (the late '70's) the pubs closed at 11PM So a bunch of us would come over to my flat and smoke some hash and watch the show. I distinctly remember laughing my ass off at the "Mickey Mouse had a gay dog?" line.

I remember Dad's Army, but didn't see that episode... that clip is very funny.

Whatever you do, don't mention the war... Fawlty Towers. The clip includes a reprise of John Cleese's Ministry of Silly Walks walk from Monty Python.
