Standing within a couple feet of an oncoming train, facing the opposite direction with headphones in and looking at your phone. The conductor was doing him a favor.
|
I was also confused by this. But who knows what's cool with teens these days.
|
Jk .

Not funny as he could have fallen under the train. Moron driver should be severely punished.
Since some fools will get back at me saying "that teen was dumb standing like that", yes teen was dumb as well. |

I'd have kicked that imbecile too..

Kid was probably trying to be artsy, and stand there straight faced as the train went by him. I do think what the conductor did was dangerous, but the kid should know better then to stand a few feet from a oncoming train. Luckily the train looked like it was moving fairly slow.

Valuable life lesson... :error
"Safe Distance From the Train" ≠ Being Within Boot Range of the Engineer :stoned ADG |

He is on private property and trespassing. He can be both fined and arrested just for being there. If you are operating the train and you are the one hitting idiots all the time because you can't swerve, you might have a different attitude... particularly after yelling at some dumb ass kid to get away from the tracks as you approach and he refuses to do so.
Trespassing along railroad rights-of-way is the leading cause of rail-related deaths in America. Nationally, more than 430 trespass fatalities and nearly as many injuries occur each year. The vast majority of these are preventable. Most railroad trespassers are pedestrians who use railroad tracks as a shortcut. |
