How many years have you dreamt of immigrating to Canada now?

I chose another path several years ago and left my country. But it never hurts to see the updates on Canada. Btw, with time I realized there are better options.

Dunno if that is meant to be insulting or not, but when I worked on my Canadian papers
back in 2009 I thought of going to Halifax to live.

unless you are a filipino willing to work for min wage at a tim horton's or a mcdonald's and live with your co-workers packed into a apartment owned by your boss your chances are slim.

Anyhow, I was declined without job offer and designer position taken off the NOC. Fuck that.

Put my application in this year applying for the Federal Skilled Worker if they decide to run it this year. This would be good fallback though.

I've heard rumours that French proficiency will become mandatory in the coming years.

I did IELTS, passed all the diplomas, financial requirements, but fuckers killed the occupancy off the NOC, I dont trust em anymore.

How bad is it in NS? Similar to Alaska? Better/worse?

Is there any civilization at all?

kind of boring in the winters, but alaska is so north that they have daylight issues if i'm not mistaken. Halifax is as far south as vermont. one of canada's bigger cities though but only around 500 thousand people.

Best-In-BC 04-24-2014 07:37 AM

Id rather move down south, but only way that works is if I smuggle my way in, lol
