Who are the TOP 3 Linux Server Admins you know?
 

On the lookout for a experienced Linux Server Admin. This is not a full time position, but instead "as needed".

Who do you recommend? It can be someone from GFY, and or someone off the board.

Why not just go with managed hosting?

Fair question. My admin requested a second and third opinion "outside the DC" on hardening the servers and other configurations.

im available, i manage my own servers, plus i was a former sys admin, linux, freebsd, solaris, aix.

easier to just get managed hosting.

We all know our weaknesses and strengths, mine has generally been finding the right people to work with me. Admin suggests getting an outside proposal and bid, I will back him on his request.

Steven from Rack911.com is a genius and has saved our servers multiple times. Scott from AdminGeekz.com is also great but charges a bit more and seems to be busier/less available.

Scott from admingeekz.com is great but expensive. Ian at prontoadmin.com does good work too.

i suggest learning how to take some what perfect photos first

Easier,but not better.You would be surprised howmany times i was hired to fix fuckups from host admins.
Plus,you cant compare a person who is dedicated to solving your problem to a person who work on it till shift is done.
