why whitelabel instead of direct promotion?
 

Why do people make their own whitelabels for cams instead of promoting the mother site directly for revshare or pps?

I understand that some may want to develop their own brand but would it not be more lucrative to promote and already established brand?

I can understand also that some may want to micro niche promote and they want bbwtube.com or whatever...

Are there any other possible reasons to go to all the trouble of making a whitelabel?

because you build traffic to your own domain and when sales drain on one program or there is a suspicion of shaving you easily move it to another program and start over :)

You can get a better rate with white labels too based on your performance. Im sure you can negotiate percentages too even if you send traffic to main site but I can't verify that.

Some of the biggest media buyers in Dating / CAMS build up and use one white label. I know one Dating affiliate who gets about 40 sales a day type in to his white labels. You may spend millions on your media buys, but as long as they are breaking even and you can build up your brand and type in....that traffic is all gravy!

I didn't understand a white label until I came to work at Dating Factory. I just always promoted someone else's website. Why do that if you can build your own and build it quickly?

Cause you don't have to worry about cookies/tracking. Guy clicks your link spends money, maybe he comes back and maybe he forgets where the fuck he was and ends up elsewhere or the tracking expires or gets overridden.

Promoting your own domain builds traffic, bookmarkers, hard to forget when they bookmark the bitch. Don't like a program can switch the whitelabel over and all existing traffic will follow over. I did this once when I switched from Cams to Streamate years ago.

Currently have 37 white labels up adult/mainstream for various things.

Some guy follows your link to chaturbate, only watches, jacks off, cleans his cookies and history (to hide his history from his family). The next day he gets horny again and searches google for chaturbate, finds the girl he loves, signs up, buys tokens. You lost.

But if he searches your url and gets back on, you win. Hopefully dude doesn't notice the chaturbate watermark until later down the road.

You can also buy existing white labels with existing members and regular earnings...see sig ;)

If you follow CurrentlySober's advise, It isn't as memorable on a bathroom wall smeared in feces.

Two Words come to mind:

Data.

I moved whitelabels and instantly got sales on the new program. People do bookmark or remember your name. I think its pointless to use a crappy domain though. Invest in a good $1,000 + domain and you will be rewarded.
