Private browsing mode has killed porn affiliate marketing

I've come to the conclusion that most surfers are simply using private browsing or incognito mode when they view porn sites. My stats show viewers to pages that don't match views to the sites I'm promoting. So, as they leave my site the cookie is never set, and I never get credit for the sale.

I'm sure mainstream affiliates don't have this problem, as surfers only enable incognito when they're getting their fap on.

How can I encourage my site's visitors to allow cookies? Or assure them that they're privacy isn't compromised ? I just want my sales tracked!

What do you guys do?

I don't have any problems with getting a good amount of sales through my blog networks, maybe I don't get as many as I would have gotten if there was no private browsing but it shouldn't effect your sales THAT much.

The worst part? Is that these settings are set up by default.

you have to think outside of the box man. I'm not going to give it away, but there are plenty of other options that adult sites are not taking advantage of.

Like all other adult shit (minus VHS), they'll come up a day late and a dollar short. :2 cents:

The information is out there. I will sell you this information for $200 via PayPal paid up front, and I DO NOT SCAM people.

If you're interested? My email is in my sig.

I will only sell it to 10 people. :2 cents:

lol, assumptions eh

seeandsee 05-10-2014 12:21 PM

you need to block private surfers

You need to setup a whitelabel like camigula.com and direct all your traffic there. Don't send traffic directly to sponsor's site as you might lose some sales.

Oh Harmon, you're just too clever for this world.

OP's stats are probably distorted by bot traffic. I doubt private browsing is a significant factor.

they can track using the urls, it's not a real problem.

Most affiliate programs will parse your affiliate id on to the join page + there is sessions and ip tracking, so no need to worry. You shouldn't use an affiliate program that would solely rely on cookies.

really? that's the ONLY thing that has killed affliate marketing?

don't even get me started

Interesting... is there a way of knowing the % of visitors on my site who are on private browsing?
are these visitors tracked on google analytics? (as they rely on JS / cookies as well)

Will you sell your precious info to 20 people for $ 100 each?

How about 100 people for $ 20 each??

WTF? What kind of lame ass scam are you hustling?

How about 4000 people for .50 cents each?? If so, I'm in. I got a couple quarters ready to go.
