Tom_PM hospitalized
 

Hi everyone. Just wanted to post a quick FYI about Tom_PM. If anyone has been trying to contact him for the past couple of days and hasn't been able to reach him, he's been in the hospital since Sunday morning and will probably be there another day or so.

Tom suffered a heart attack 7 years ago and pretty much had a repeat performance Sunday morning. I spoke with him a little while ago and he's ok, just uncomfortable as hell from all of the poking, prodding and tests hospitals tend to do. :(

Just wanted to post a quick update. I spoke with Tom again a little while ago and it looks like he's probably going to be in the hospital for the rest of the week. His cardiologist wants to run some kind of electrical test on his heart on Thursday to see if he may need to implant a defibrillator in Tom's chest. Needless to say, Tom is a little freaked out at the possibility but is trying to stay positive.

So if anyone has been trying to contact him he probably won't be able to get back to you until the end of the week at the earliest.

I've relayed all of your best wishes to him and that seemed to have brightened his day, so huge thanks to you all! :)

Wow he is pretty young right? Best wishes to him and hope he can manage this so he gets the chance to grow old.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments and LadyB for posting the thread for me.

Not sure if anyone is interested in details. Pretty much beat up and bruised from a lot of shots of blood thinner in the stomach but it's nice to feel clean for the first time in a week. Not very comfortable sitting in this damn chair though. Better than lying on those Frankenstein-esque tables in the Cath. and EP labs though.
