Watermarks: Capitalized Or Not?
Here's something I've wondered for awhile:
When you are watermarking your videos with the URL do you capitalize the URL or leave it all lower-case? As in: www.YourWebsiteHere.com or www.yourwebsitehere.com Does it make a differance to the surfer? If he's used to seeing the URL not capitalized but then sees it capitalized does it have a negative impact? To me, having the capitals makes the URL 'stand out' but maybe that's because I'm a jaded bleary-eyed mofo. Any ideas on this? |
I say capitalized because it's more along the lines of branding.

It depends no the website I'm promoting. The short ones I usually capitalize all letters like KELLI.NET but the long ones like NickManningOnline.com don't.

I like capitalizing the first letter of each word. Especially if the domain name compliments the product and shows something which might catch the surfers attention like say FreePorn.com or LowCostEcigs.com. It also helps to filter them as only the interested ones will type it in. It might be different when you are trying to brand. It probably still doesn't hurt.

Again, or so i BELIEVE. Who knows if it's true? |
Many people have Dyslexia and have a hard time sorting out words in a multi word domain.
Keep it simple:2 cents: MySite.com |
drop the "www." it's cleaner without

my companys url is encased in our eye catching logo. Think of the Nike brand logo , Volkswagen , the master card logo , ya see it n instantly know the brand n its more eye catching then just a url. downfall = ya cant have a massive domain name or it will look like shit.

TitleCasingEachWord will improve the viewer's memory of a multi syllable word is my thinking. |
