I am confused, usually coup and martial law means how shit is getting serious and how people might die ,and you say how that is a good thing?

They have already been a few killings today, as some protestors have started to fight the military in Bangkok. This could potentially get really ugly, but you're not going to hear about it as long as the military controls 100% of the media. That is the point of controlling the media. I assume if videos start showing up on youtube and facebook of the fighting, they will block those sites or turn off the internet. |
If rumours are true that the Internet will be switched off in #Thailand at 9pm, I guess I will have to read a book as TV is censored.

Thailand is not ready for democracy like we know it in the west and putting a stop to the current situation is a good thing and only the army could do it and in the short term it is the best solution in my opinion. 27 people have died already in the last 6 months during the protests but I think this will put an end to it. |
21:06 internet still on
|
Yep
So I guess just a rumor. |
FWIW they didn't cut off the Internet in 2006.
|

You are the only country in Asia that was never invaded/colonized... and look at you now. |

Maybe they should hire you as a rep.
