No more Godaddy .com Renewal Coupons?

So I've been searching the web for like 20 minutes trying to find a Godaddy .com renewal coupon.. which usually isn't an issue finding at least a 35% discount.

But all of the current coupons I've tried simply do not apply.. and one of the sites I came across said that Godaddy is no longer offering coupons on .com renewals full stop.

WTF? Is this true? $15 fucking dollars for a renewal these days too?

I know a lot of folks hate on Godaddy. But I've never had an issue with them (knock on wood). This is the first thing I've run into that is chapping my ass a smidge.. but can anyone confirm this?

If it's not true.. does anyone have a decent renewal coupon? Or hell, ANY renewal coupon off a .com?

Much appreciation as always :thumbsup

This is the first time I've seen anything about it. I'm not crying ya dumb fuck, and again I don't have any problems with Godaddy, never have. Always have been cheap (with the coupons) and reliable as far as I'm concerned.

Just wanted to confirm this.. because I was reading further.. it appears now MOST of ALL coupons are currently being killed off?

Now.. if that is true.. I am indeed the fuck out of here. Been paying 2 bucks and change all year long for new .com's.. the coupons were the only reason I stayed around.

pimpmaster9000 05-23-2014 05:18 AM

all registrars are basically doing it...they lure you in with a cheap reg fee but they stiff you on the renewal...

greg80 05-23-2014 05:25 AM

Yes, they suck. I suggest moving to NameSilo.com. Great prices, no need for coupons and free private registration. Also, Dynadot and NameCheap are great options.

fuck off moron, there is at least one thread like this every week, it's getting boring.

...and the answer is always the same, there are no GD coupon codes for renewal anymore. you need to pay full price or join their domain discount club.

armysmoke 05-23-2014 05:42 AM

Try downloading the honey extension at http://joinhoney.com

It searches for coupons for a lot of things to include GD.

boziffous 05-23-2014 06:25 AM

Use code CJC35NEWC to get GoDaddy's domain discount club for $58.49.

Renewals are $8.29 + $0.18 for ICANN Fees with the domain discount club.

armysmoke 05-23-2014 06:49 AM

Why not move the names to NAMESILO a month before renewal? It's $8.39 for the transfer fee plus one year extension on the domain name.

mineistaken 05-23-2014 06:50 AM

They cut down renewal codes to the minimum (almost non existent?). I moved most of my domains from GD to silo guys for that reason. Cheaper than even with GD renewal codes...

People still using godaddy? lol...some people just love to struggle with them and search for coupons after.

420 05-23-2014 10:09 AM

When did everyone stop using tucows? :)

fb25save = 11.25 .com renewal on godaddy

femdomdestiny 05-23-2014 10:19 AM

Yesterday I was trying to find renewal coupon code, but non of them worked.

lagcam 05-23-2014 10:55 AM

If I can get a godaddy code that gives me money off the privacy I keep the domains there, if I can't I move the domain.

I have never had a single problem with godaddy in 10 years and they even managed to save some domains for me when registerfly died, but I hate paying $9.99 for privacy.

srockhard 05-23-2014 11:01 AM

This has been working for 35% off total checkout IAP35NEWC

LightscapeMedia 05-23-2014 11:05 AM

I can't find them anymore either.

But.. on another note.. I have a few sites on their shared hosting and I'm not sure what they did, but it's friggin lightning fast now and it doesn't crash on a regular basis. Been going good for about a month now.

i found this shit working week ago: 35ren214

rockeru 05-23-2014 12:33 PM

I really can't understand people renewing at Godaddy when other registrars have almost half the price with free WHOIS. :2 cents:

NaughtyVisions 05-23-2014 01:49 PM

Doimed,

I usually check here:

http://www.fatwallet.com/GoDaddy-coupons/

which I'm sure you probably have.

They have a couple of renewal coupons, though I have no idea if they work or not.

I see a 10% off renewals (SAS10ORDER) and $15 off renewal purchase(s) of $75 or more (SAS15ORDER). There's also some 35% off coupons that don't say "new purchases" or a minimum dollar amount, but who knows...

Cyber Fucker 05-23-2014 02:40 PM

Yes, indeed, no more Godaddy renewal codes. Now Godaddy is only good for new registrations.
I've already moved most of my names. It looks like there is no more decent codes for renewals, what's more a few days ago I tried to renew just 1 name and I tried a bunch of codes that supposed to work for other people but none worked for me. "You qualified for multiple money-saving offers! We've automatically applied the best offer, giving you the
lowest price. blah blah" and no any discount has been applied at all.

It seems they've noticed I'm leaving them and blocked all renewal codes for me. I don't know if that was manual or automatic action. Whatever, I'm not even going to ask support about this because I know I will get some copy/paste crap by hindi name as usual. So, with whois privacy it's like more than $25 for .com. When I can get this for $8 elsewhere.

So my advice for you guys is, if you have plenty of names, don't be stupid flushing your money down the drain. Transfer your names, it may seem like long and complicated task at first but then once you moved your first name it's quick and easy, it takes only a few minutes.

I sometimes got that BS when I clicked someone's affiliate link. It seemed to bring that about and even when I entered valid codes it gave me that message and the bad prices. This happened to me many months ago. I think after a day or two it was okay again. I believe I tried it on another browser too thinking it might be a cookie or such triggering it but it seemed to be tied to the account. Like I said this happened a while ago so I could be wrong.

This may be because the coupon expired since other people have successfully used it or you already used it.

Coupon code CJC35NEWC worked with FatWallet when I purchased GoDaddy's domain discount club yesterday. Allows you to get the domain discount club for $58.49 and FatWallet gives you $8.19 cash back as well.
