My main site, a blog, which I update regulary, lost. Relevant backlinks, good written posts, no blind links... all for nothing or what?

Another site, a shitty wp-tube, which I did not touch for about 2 month, got through the roof. Crappy descriptions, lots of ads, almost no updates.... hey, this seems to be king!

I don't rely on Google. I get creative and go out and find my visitors. True, I have less visitors than many.. but the ones I do have are far more valuable to me than a million random clicks.

Look for Facebook and Twitter traffic. It converts way better.

But that's mostly mobile and kids.

I'm not saying I ignore Google completely. Just that it's not what I rely on for my traffic. Door-to-door? In a way, I guess. A couple of things I do to get some traffic:

1. I have relationships with several high traffic neighborhood bars in my town who allow me to put flyers with QR codes in the men's room

2. Run a tinychat.com room with manycam running with a simple looped advertisement running on my cam window.

These are just two of the many things I do to generate traffic which work really really well.

These two methods result in a lot of bookmarked traffic which is the type of traffic I really want.

No changes to our traffic at all. Not up, not down. I guess Trannies are not considered porn by google :P
