Breaking Bad Comeback?!?!

It seems barely plausible (and what a great troll), but if it happened, I'd be very pleased:

no.

ottopottomouse 05-30-2014 10:46 AM

Small part in Better Call Saul.

Sly 05-30-2014 10:50 AM

Cranston is a very good actor and likes to have a lot of fun, they did a lot of spoof videos. I would not read too much into it.

seeandsee 05-30-2014 10:54 AM

why we need that, just end like this

dyna mo 05-30-2014 10:55 AM

when it's over it's over. :-(

Plutocracy 05-30-2014 11:06 AM

I love that show!

Rochard 05-30-2014 11:16 AM

I loved that show too. I was hooked in the first thirty seconds when he was driving that motorhome through the desert in his whitie tighties and a gas mask.

Ross 05-30-2014 11:23 AM

I think it is best left the way it is, one of the best tv shows I ever watched, left me wanting more, I'd hate them to ruin it with a comeback attempt.

Agreed. They went out when they were on top before they ran it into the ground.

Agreed! The ending was fantastic compared to Dexter. They ran that show into the ground and through the other side of the earth.

Yup, I agree. The idea of a comeback seems great, buuuut, no.

michael.kickass 05-30-2014 11:58 AM

I dont think so. :2 cents:

TampaToker 05-30-2014 01:24 PM

Never watched it worth watching?

selena 05-30-2014 01:33 PM

That was the best tv show I ever remember seeing.

I miss it still, but I would hate to see them mess w/ perfection.

That said, I think they could run a bunch of prequel side stories off "Better Call Saul" on stuff that was fuzzy in BB. Like why Mike went from cop to tough guy, etc.

I hadn't watched it until last fall, and I had miraculously avoided spoilers online. My married son was hooked on it, and on his recommendation, we started watching after the series ended. It was agonizing because it was during a really busy time, and we couldn't binge watch. AND I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED SO DAMNED BAD!!!!

Do yourself a favor and indulge. It's epic, must-see-TV, and outside of sports I am really not a TV/movie person.

MiamiBoyz 05-30-2014 05:01 PM

The show was like a great meal...you enjoy it while you eat it and at the end you feel totally full and satisfied.

Anymore and you are just bloated and ruins the whole thing.

It was a great meal but it's over.

BlackCrayon 05-30-2014 05:25 PM

i only recently watched the entire series. i never saw it when it was on tv, always heard people talking about it so eventually watched it on dvd and was so pulled into their world. i think it was even better since i could watch episode after episode without having to wait till next week. i agree, they shouldn't just leave it alone. walt or jesse could have a part in an episode on better call saul, as its set before breaking bad but that's it. don't ruin it..

Relentless 05-30-2014 06:24 PM

Best final episode of any show ever. No way Vince Gilligan ever does another.

VikingMan 05-31-2014 12:18 AM

a spin off might be cool but don't bring the show back. That would be like if Brett Farve had played past his prime....oh wait.

I hope this show isn't a let down.

mineistaken 05-31-2014 12:13 PM

How can anyone draw such a conclusion from that interview? :)
He was just being interesting, instead of simply confirming was he dead or not. And even if he did not die that would not mean anything. Just like Sopranos ending - dead or alive, series was over.

Obviously they don't have free drinks on the 5th of November where you live if you come as Guy Fawkes. I'm 35. If I wanted to waste my time as a script kiddie, I'd need to lose about 20 years of age.

Mark-G 05-31-2014 06:12 PM

:thumbsupI really hope so - my favorite show ever

You're a really strange dude, or you didn't read the article.

If they make the spin-off show they're talking about for Saul, I'd watch the shit out of it.

Saul's show would take place during the times before Braking Bad times. So not even technically possible to see WW in that show.

And no, I am not strange, the guy was merely being "interesting" or "mysterious" with the answer if WW was dead or alive and nothing more than that. No reason for sensationalism from cnn's part. Well actually there is reason - link bait and publicity for cnn :)

I disagree, but that is usual when I'm reading your posts, right? :1orglaugh Keeps life interesting, so keep 'em coming.

Vince Gilligan has said he doesn't know yet if the show is going to be Frazier or After Mash

If Better Call Saul turns out to be another massive hit then you never know what plots and characters may end up in the show in a few seasons time.

TampaToker 06-01-2014 05:00 PM

Guess i will spend the week watching this show then :)

pr0phet 06-01-2014 07:40 PM

Never seen it. What's it about?

ruff 06-02-2014 05:04 AM

What is interesting is how Saul managed not to get killed in Breaking Bad. If they produce Better Call Saul, you can bet they will have cut-backs to Breaking Bad. I hope they get the same writers.

Paul 06-30-2014 06:35 PM

Just thought I'd give this thread a bump :pimp

'Better Call Saul' Wants Walter White Back

Quote:

Forget Saul. You "Better Call" for a defibrillator after this!

"Better Call Saul" executive producer Peter Gould has revealed that the show will feature scenes moving back and forth through time, allowing for the return of some of our favorite "Breaking Bad" characters, including Walter White, according to the New York Daily News.

?One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before ?Breaking Bad,? during ?Breaking Bad,? and after ?Breaking Bad.' That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on ?Breaking Bad,?? Gould told The News.

Gould adds that the show will "stand on its own" and not be more "Breaking Bad," but having White return in any capacity is still enough to make fans totally lose it. Both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have already said they'd be interested in reprising their roles as White and Jesse Pinkman, respectively.

Perhaps the best news of all is that when Cranston responded, "Never say never," after CNN asked if Walter White could return, he wasn't just quoting a Justin Bieber song. He actually meant it. (Thank God.)
Awesome! :thumbsup

Better Call Saul begins February 8th. Can't wait for more of the Breaking Bad universe! I'm really hoping it's good.

I'm hoping they explore a lot of the open-ended stuff. I'd assume it'll be a prequel, at least at first. Maybe we'll get some flash-forwards, etc. I'm just happy to have Breaking Bad back in my life. :)
