Michael Schumacher

Was reading another article about him today, and yet another doctor seems to suggest no good news will ever happen regarding his condition now.

It's been 23 weeks since the skiing accident. It really does look like it will be the end of the road for Schumy now you have to feel... :(

L-Pink 06-03-2014 10:07 AM

What is his current condition? Same as just after the accident?

they said a few weeks ago he would react to voices/stimuli but no word since then. and by react they meant not that he has opened his eyes or so - maybe just some twitch

no news since then, not looking good

Yup. People at the time took the "reacting to voices" news as if he was actually answering back.

He should be enjoying retirement (and his money) with his family. Very sad way for it all to end. If indeed it is the end of his time...

These are sad news :(

How long is it fair to keep someone artificially alive in this sort of condition?

we don't know if he shows brain activity and how much. only if there was zero brain activity, it would be legitimate to ask this question.

but as far as i understood, he does show reactions - and therefore is no vegetable yet

dyna mo 06-03-2014 11:35 AM

man, was hoping he'd pull through, a lot of folks are prolly pretty saddened by this

ottopottomouse 06-03-2014 11:38 AM

Even without being a vegetable - I was going from being in hospital almost 6 months now due to a whack on the head.

He won't have any of the fitness he had previous to the accident and depending what inside his head was damaged even if he woke up I wouldn't expect him to have a good quality of life now.

I was about as far away from being a Schumacher fan as you can ever find but as a big F1 fan, I am sad to see him potentially go out this way. He should be enjoying his life with his family and basking in his success as one of the greatest drivers ever to have been in F1.

Really hoping for a turnaround here and he pulls through but it is not looking like a reality at this time. I can't even imagine what his wife and children are going through, so sad.

michael.kickass 06-03-2014 11:48 AM

Man, such a sad ending for him. It's so fucking sad. :(

Naughty 06-03-2014 11:48 AM

Same with our Prince, he died finally after over a year or so, he was in an avalenge (sp?).

Choopa_Pardo 06-03-2014 12:45 PM

I don't expect any improvement from Schumi. So sad to see one of racing's greatest drivers end up like this.

SekobA 06-03-2014 03:33 PM

tooo bad he was my fav F1 driver

mineistaken 06-03-2014 03:38 PM

Sad news..

MorePassion4U 06-03-2014 03:42 PM

I have been a Schumacher fan since 1993 and i hope he pulls through. As times goes on there is less of a change of a full recovery. There have been cases where people have come out of a coma after 20, 30 years, so there is still hope.

crockett 06-03-2014 04:08 PM

He was always my favorite driver, well him and Alex Zanardi he ended up in bad shape as well but least he's still around. Shame to see Schumacher go out in such a way, but he surely was the type to push the limits at what ever he did.

thats the problem - so far we know it was just a stupid skiing accident even at relatively low speed. somehow not F1 champion worthy

Spunky 06-03-2014 04:38 PM

Not looking good for him at all sadly

romeo22 06-03-2014 11:53 PM

this toke too long.hope the best for him

balint 06-04-2014 12:42 AM

Life is unpredictable. The most famous F1 driver is in coma beacuse of a ski accident. Steve Irwin, who always climbed into crocodiles mouth, was killed by a stingray.

DONOVAN66 06-04-2014 01:36 AM

ya, it's strange sometimes.

John-ACWM 06-04-2014 03:32 AM

Sad. I still hope for good news.
