Best Metallica Album?
I've never posted a poll on here before, but I'm about to try.
"I'm caught under wheels roll" between Master of Puppets and ...And Justice For All. |
I cunt a4d a poo either... :(
|
With most bands you can easily pick their best album or even best song, but Metallica makes it hard to choose because 96% of their songs are good. They've been on point from day 1 from Hit the Lights all the way to My Apocalypse and that new Lords of Summer song isn't bad, but it falls short so I hope they bring something better to the table for the next album if they get around to putting it together before they die. All they really have to do is take a break from touring and put together 10 fucking new songs.
|
The only one I didnt like was Justice for All.
Not that the music was bad, but the production was shitty. |

Master... it's no coincidence that all of The Big 4's quintessential albums came out in 1987...Rain In Blood, Peace Sells, Master, and Among The Living all were released within just a few months of each other
|
Black of course.

why are the results hidden?

I'm more into Iron Maiden but ...And Justice For All is my fav Metallica album
|
two decent albums, the rest mediocre or pure shit. I wish they would just give it up already. Metallica is a complete joke at this point.
|
There's Ride The Lightning...then the other ones.
|
I continue to listen to all of them, but always return to Master.
This thread reminds me I haven't listened to Ride the Lightning in awhile, so that will be my lunchtime playlist. |
None, please.
|
They need to start doing cool instrumentals again! < master of puppets and justice for me too :)
|
The Black album was what propelled the band into douches they are now.
The best Metallica albums: 1. Ride the Lightning 2. Master of Puppets (this is a VERY close second and am ok with someone putting it first, just DO NOT LIST THE BLACK ALBUM FIRST YOU IDIOTS) 3. Kill em all 4. And Justice for all 5. Anything after And Justice for All was not even Metallica. I don't know what happened to them. Perhaps they had gong too long with out Mustaine and needed his energy to remain Metallica. Mustaine was the heart and sould of that band. That queef Kirk Hammet does not even compare to Mustaine. |
black album is a classic!
|
Obviously, Master of Puppets is the correct answer. I will accept someone saying Ride the Lightening, although they are mistaken.
|
Why the fuck are the results hidden? That sucks pal. I voted '...And Justice For All'
|
...And Justice For All is my favorite... but Death Magnetic was pretty awesome. I didn't expect Metallica to throw something that good after a few kicks in the nuts.
|
best album by far was metal up your ass. everything after that was shit.
:) |
I don't think they've made a decent one since The Black Album.
Amazing how a band can make a run of crappy albums and remain so huge. Death Magnetic had some good moments but it sounded awful. |
for me it was justice, its the first album i really heard from them. i was only 10 when it came out and they played the whole thing when it was released on WRIF in detroit...i was hooked.
|
Master of Puppets
And Justice for all Kill em all in that order Death magnetic is pretty good though. |

I voted for Kill 'Em All.

Last 4 albums got no love XD. That doesn't necessarily mean they suck, but I can agree the first 5 are the best I think they may have sort of hit the law of diminishing returns after black album, but Death Magnetic was good and reminded me of the earlier stuff while being new. St. Anger was the only album that had a couple songs I could skip but still had Frantic. Load and Reload have their shining moments like The Outlaw Torn, King Nothing, Ain't My Bitch, Fuel, The Memory Remains, Unforgiven II, Slither, and Low Man's Lyric. But Load and Reload have more bluesy and slightly depressing songs like Bleeding Me (still like the song), but they didn't have the same epic feel of the bluesy stuff from the Black Album like Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam and Sad but true.

Ride the lightning was awesome and I remember being at college and this show off cunt posing doing kill em all on the geetar........ I thought he was god, I was such a loser :1orglaugh
Black album was just everything right, everything perfect...... its always gonna be a tough call though. It just all came together right. I think when Metallica does a proper "all inclusive" box set, it will be the biggest selling box set in history (mark my words). |

They have box sets on Amazon and shit but maybe they are unofficial.

Justice is my fav

After that, he started to lose his songwriting ability. I think he lost his hunger because he felt as though he'd proved himself. |

master of puppets

Master of Puppets or Ride the Lighting.. after that they went too corporate. Justice for all just got ran into the ground as did any album after that.
The more unrefined albums at the start of their carer were the best.. Oh and of course Cliff.. |
