There is no freedom offered with guns - that is nothing more than an illusion for the disillusioned :disgust

Any time a gun goes off near a school its a "school shooting" now? lol. 74 school shootings since Newton. Keep changing the meaning of the word I am sure we can get to 100, maybe even 1000.

iSpyCams 06-11-2014 08:09 AM

Here's an example of one of their "school shootings" basically typical gang violence that happened to be in the vicinity of a campus.

Idiots and their guns, and the idiots who defend guns.

Nobody is realistically anti-gun, some people are just pro-tyranny.

The Middle states seem like the best places to go to school

J. Falcon 06-11-2014 11:46 AM

It's very sad. I was raised in the US, went to elementary, junior high and part of high school in NY. It must be absolutely terrifying for kids and parents these days, knowing shit like this can happen any day.

But obviously not terrifying enough for anyone to do anything about it.

It must be very frustrating for anyone who actually sees the craziness behind the over-abundance of firearms, how easy it is to get them, and the huge mobilization of groups that are only there to make sure more and more guns are sold openly and easily. How many more random shootings do you need to realize something is seriously wrong with the culture?

The rest of the world is laughing at you for how stupid you are. Take into account that there are a lot of people around the world that don't like Americans to begin with, they are probably just saying "let them kill each other" it's what they deserve. Continue fighting for your freedoms. But you're stupid if you think you are free. You're not even free to send your kids to school without getting shot.

I'm not saying firearms are the only problem, but it's probably the main issue. And it's funny how all it takes is one stabbing incident for the raving gun fanatics to sarcastically point out that we should also be discussing knives, or a hit and run to say we should ban cars. Idiots.

keep shooting each other its fun for us to watch overseas and laugh at the idiocy of the USA

AmeliaG 06-11-2014 08:35 PM

A violent incident with one casualty or a gun with no casualties or a suicide . . . these are NOT "mass shootings". No wonder the Huffington Post prefers not to pay writers.

3D printing technology is catching up. Pretty soon all countries will be able to play this game.

what about the ammunition? as far as i know it is required to shoot, and it is impossible to print bullets

NewNick 06-12-2014 06:47 AM

You half wits clearly need more guns.

Then you will be able to defend yourselves.

EonBlue 06-12-2014 08:28 AM

That map and number is nothing but pure propaganda.

Even CNN had enough common sense to look into it further:

A closer look: How many school shootings since Newtown?

Quote:

Everytown says on its web site that it gleans its information from media reports and that its list includes school shootings involving a firearm discharged inside or on school grounds, including assaults, homicides, suicides and accidental shootings.

CNN determined that 15 of the incidents Everytown included were situations similar to the violence in Oregon -- a minor or adult actively shooting inside or near a school. That works out to about one shooting every five weeks.

Some of the other incidents on Everytown's list included personal arguments, accidents and alleged gang activities and drug deals.

So when is a school shooting not a school shooting ?

Does it have to be a massacre, or are these "other" types of shooting not counted ?

Do you need a particular body count to make a real school shooting ?

It would be funny if it was not so tragic.

making your own bullets isn't exactly rocket science.. no technology needed for that.

I am pretty sure you are being intentionally dense, but to humor you anyway, the hype and panic surrounding "school shootings" is based on the fear of a deranged person carrying out a mass shooting of random victims for the sole purpose of racking up a high body count.

You don't think of 2 people having an argument that turns violent. That's just not something that human beings will ever stop doing.

You don't usually think of 20 something gangsters who have been held back for years because they can't graduate taking their gang beefs to high school and carrying out a premeditated killing or attempted murder of one person.

You don't think about a depressed person offing them self in their apartment late at night a half a block from a school that may or may not be open at that time.

You don't think of an armed robbery or drug buy gone bad that happened in a high school parking lot in the wee hours of the morning.

Those are all situations that are and always have been avoidable, with or without a gun.

"Everytown for gun safety" is not a parents group and their propaganda is not viral. It's a made up organization financed by Bloomberg, the same genius that banned high capacity soft drinks and thinks he can buy the 2nd amendment. His idiotic and meaningless map of non events would be literally nowhere if he didn't pay for massive media buys labeling it "viral".
