converting mpeg to flv or mp4?
 

hey guys,
need advice. i have 5min long movie over 500mb mpeg i would like to convert it and keep decent quality, what would be best - flv, mp4 and what utils to convert it fast and easy (and efficient)?

538mb mpeg converted lossless (imo) to mp4 47mb, program is raw but easy to understand and handle, opens dos window and converts there - pro oldschool :D

big no, no at the start they tried to sell me few products and install few goodies on my pc, after conversion file took 300mb but it's my fault - program is written for dumb ppl, almost all options in form of flashy icons, looking very nice but i always fail to understand flashy programs like this and perhaps choose wrong options.

You could also try http://handbrake.fr/ (its basically a frontend to ffmpeg).

gives me output file 160mb but perhaps again i shoudl spent more time on the settings.

so far winff wins - intuitional options, good output.
