i would say 3 Million a year

Harmon 06-12-2014 08:20 AM

The saddest part of this thread and the responses? Yes, it's A LOT... but, had they not taken this business to a different level? It COULD have been so much more.

Unfortunately one greedy mother fucker ruined it for so many and figured out that they could monetize traffic for pennies in volume. It's a damn shame but at the same time? It's the nature of this cut throat industry.

If all tube sites (never happen) ever got together and decided to limit their videos to say 2-3 minutes? Their income would triple. All it would take is for the big dogs to start, and the smaller guys would follow suit. It's all about cash in the end.

I guess it's kind of late now.

If the big guys limited to 2-3 minutes, the small guys would not follow suit - they would become the new big guys...

Naaa. I'd guesstimate between $0.50-$3.00 per 1,000 uniques. So let's say they do 50 million uniques a day and average $2 per 1k. That is $100k per day or $36.5 million a year.

Good post but you are right. It is too late. It's also about the customer expectation and now the customer does not feel they should have to pay for porn.

That $36 million they make per year would have been 360 million easily back in 2006 if not 3 billion.

Like our industry has consolidated, so have the tubes. The top 10 or so that hold all the quality traffic are making a lot more money than they were in the past.

In another 2 or 3 years (possibly sooner) when mainstream companies start to embrace it, the tubes are going to see their bottom lines triple.

Won't happen, if you're talking about mainstream advertisers. Perhaps companies on the fringe of mainstream. Google just banned porn from AdWords.

Robbie 06-12-2014 07:46 PM

The better question is what does Traffic Junky make.
That's how they monetize Pornhub. By selling shit traffic to desperate people. lol

I agree with you 100%. You guys have done an amazing job getting all those top 10 tubes names in mainstream press too. Makese perfect sense why ;0

It was too late before the first porn tube ever went live. It was too late when YouTube showed the world that the business model was viable and it was too late for years when everyone was crying about tubes. How many people actually left the industry out of disgust?

Also, everyone saying they make $35,000,000 per year based on current traffic counts are forgetting one very important thing. Their webcam signups. You can guarantee a lot of these are on revshare and they receive more and more income from their ever growing userbase of millions of referred cam customers. They have been doing this for years and it has paid off big time.

Their traffic is pretty fucking good. But the prices are too jacked up by card banging cross sale faggots.

flashfire 06-14-2014 02:31 PM

3 mil lol

add a zero...I spent over a mil on Traffic Junky myself a couple years back

Ah the truth comes out. Basically "Big Porns" only hope now after destroying their own industry is now to have mainstream come in and save them. I've been saying this for years. Fabian spent years trying to do that at Manwin. You can tell it was one of his final strategies. He failed. You idiots destroyed the industry by devaluing your own product and now you are left holding the bag desperately seeking someone to take it off your hands and advertise a product which people will actually buy (because they won't pay for your porn).

It's a damn shame this industry was ran by a bunch of frat boys and mobsters looking for a quick buck as opposed to real business people with real educations.

Anyway, why would a real mainstream business person pay you to advertise their product on your tubes? For the most part the people who control this industry are so stupid if they wait long enough they'll probably get you do to give it away for free too just like you did with your own product. :1orglaugh I said it before but it's just a matter of time before they use the porn industry as a case study for what not to do and how poor quality upper management can destroy an entire industry.

If you think about it...that's when we were selling porn. Online porn was golden.

It's when the so-called "business people" like Fabian came along and began mass-profiting off of piracy that everything went down. :disgust

It's often the "suits" who fuck up everything they touch because they have no passion for the business.

cam_girls 06-14-2014 06:51 PM

54321 BitCoins...

bet I could double it with this 1 link!

that's 10987654321 BitCoins if you do the math!

venus 06-14-2014 06:55 PM

informed guess? you would have to actually know some facts first, but my guess is you all are going to be way over the actual amount..

that would be funny if it was not actually true for most people on gfy..they all think the other guy is making it big because they saw something or heard something so they try and copy it only to wonder why they are not making shit

The problem with this line of reasoning is that someone was going to do it anyhow. While you and others think these big companies were stupid for getting out front on this others think that the complainers were stupid for not seeing the light and adjusting long ago.

It's really rather silly, if the companies you were bitching at weren't so successful you would have a point but they are and you don't.
