Calling soccer a "lesser sport" than football is just ridiculous, at least on a global scale, which is the only scale that matters since the WC is a global event. Superbowl may be watched in 90 countries but at the end of the day it's really still only a USA-only event. (Go Niners!)

The statement issued this week says Abreu's friends and relatives immediately "rushed into the field, stoned the referee to death and quartered his body.''

Local news media say the spectators also decapitated Silva and stuck his head on a stake in the middle of the field.
