Downgrading from windows 8 to windows 7
HI guys, someone has some experience downgrading? there is some cool software or dvd to do that ?
|
I've managed to do one down grade, it isn't simple. I found that I could live with Windows 8 after I installed Stardock, now I have windows 8 looking and operating like 7. For 8 bucks I would do that instead of trying to down grade.

format C: then go torrent Win 7 Ultimate
fuck micro$hit I tried to call them and ask for a refund on the piece of shit Win8 but they refused. |
I could be doing with a new laptop but i refuse to buy one with that Win 8 shit...
|
I saw something while searching the other day that you can only downgrade if you have 8 pro. Google for it, the info is out there. A lot of people are downgrading.

Reformat and install Windows 7, simple!
|
Reinstall
|
I would do a full reformat of the drive and reinstall Windows 7 from scratch, just to be safe.
|
Reformatting might now work because some hardware may be designed to ONLY work on windows 8.
that said I got something called StartisBack and it is WONDERFUL! I never ever look at Metro. It was $3. My computer feels like Windows 7 with the speed of Windows 8 |
Glad I caught this thread. JUST got a new 'puter, and WIN 8 blows just as bad as I have been hearing...at least one of these start button fixes, should help.
Thanks guys! |
I used the start button free fix as well. Major suprise changes like win 8 are annoying.
Microsoft needs to wake the Fuck up! |
"My man be called UpGraiDD - with 2 D's!"
Good luck, Yuu. I've heard 8 is no fun. |

Several companies including Dell and HP are selling new desktops and laptops with Win7 as the OS. |
Boycott Windows 8. They need to make 2 operating systems if they want people to continue to use Windows. One for real computers and one for tablets.
Some of us use computers for REAL work and not just reading email and watching porn! |
Windows eight really isn't too bad. It's just Win 7 with the tiles screen. For my wife's laptop I downloaded something that made the start button work just like Win 7 and made it so it booted into Windows, not the tiles screen. At that point, it's windows 7.

Install it. Figure it out. Have your win8 play as win7 Thank me later. Donations can be forwarded to CS his poo-fundation.:upsidedow |
If your bios has Windows 8 locked boot loader and it wont allow you to install Win 7 let me know. I have some workarounds. Otherwise booting to desktop and a start button is easy peasy.

I hated Win8 when I first started using it - since I'm on a Desktop - but there are some tips to make it easier...
1) To start an app, press the Windows key (to get to Metro), type the first few characters of the program name, then press enter. You don't need to click on a search box anywhere, just start typing. For example, press Windows, type "cont", press Enter and you'll open the control panel. 2) You can get a "sort of" start button by right clicking on the Windows icon at the bottom left of the desktop. It doesn't show installed programs (boo) but it does include many features of the old start button. 3) There are keyboard shortcuts for many things which normally need multiple clicks or swipes. For example, Windows-D gets you the desktop, Windows-E opens the file explorer. Alt-Tab cycles through open windows. [These work on earlier versions of 'doze, too.] http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/w...cuts=windows-8 |
they literally fucked themselves with the win 8, and the manufacturers too, this piece of crap os stops me from buying a new notebook since month
|
I'm scared of W8 from what I hear.
I hope W9 comes out soon and everything is good. |
