I found this today and last night I had a dream inside of a dream where it was a dystopian society like in a sci-fi movie and if you did one little thing wrong (throw a cigarette butt), a lazer would come out of nowhere and vaporize you. I woke up from the dream to the next dream and my mom was there and I told her "I just had a dream that was like 1984 on steroids" (verbatim).

Then I see this shit. Can't help but feel we are slowly being indoctrinated into a full totalitarian police state.

I read the article and it is kind of unclear. It sound like when Walmart security stopped her the grandma was with her and explained that she was mentally challenged and would never steal something on purpose. Supposedly they tried to show the receipt for what was purchased, but the security people weren't listening and they would not pay attention to the grandmother who was trying to explain what was going on.

The aggression of the security people is what caused her to flip out in the first place.

Even if the police lose a civil lawsuit, it does not hurt them financially. Cops don't pay the judgment out of their own pockets, the city pays the judgment...which ultimately means the tax payers pay the judgment.

I agree. people who have not gained a healthy sense of self tend to abuse others and may decide to go into a certian line of work because it allows them a venue to do so. its seen all the time with police officers, teachers, judges, ect

I had similar experience,i was strip searched because i was also suspected how i stole something ,but kind a pointless to blame entire society because of it,due one retarded security guard.I didn't go that store since that,but i dont boycott entire chain,just that particular store.Another example,where i was present,was when i was with friend which look like soccer hooligan so he was harassed too.But he sent a complain e-mail and he actually received compensation package for it,i didn't got shit when i complained,only words "oh it's not our fault blame the security company"

yeah because bludgeoning security guards is a very appropriate response.

i know the cops won't pay out of their own pockets but if my tax dollars are going to judgments against the police anyways id rather it be one that is for someone like this over something more frivolous and baseless,which happens all the time. Our money goes to all kinds of stupid shit everyday,if it helped a mentally disabled girl and her family I'm ok with that. id also rather walmart pay the whole friggin thing since it sounds like it all started with them anyhow!
