solar roadway is complete nonsense. I could list reasons ad infinitum, and have in the other thread, but don't feel like embarrassing ********** yet again for thinking something so ridiculously stupid is a good idea.

I think this is a great idea. Better, smarter road, easier to maintain, and will generate solar power - roads that pay for themselves.

Rockhard it is a brilliant idea however I don't think the surface will hold up too heavy traffic... go to a truck stop near you on the 5 and look at the roads leading into the truck areas.... looks like frozen water/waves etc

This concept is from nothing more than a husband and wife team that, while good intentioned, have not thought this through at all. All they've managed to do so far is to relieve investors of 1.8 million dollars. All you have to do is watch this video to see how ridiculous the implementation of their idea is.

Cliff notes: glass tiles wont work and the cost to implement this would bankrupt the entire country.

If they're smart they would ditch the idea of paving the entire country's roadways and would market it to the green crowd to use around their houses and in their laneways / parking lots.
