He's a legendary player, yes. World's best... I really believe he is. He was the best in his ManU days and he's the best now. I think he's better than Messi, hands down.

But.. he's one dude.

Is Portugal as a TEAM better than the U.S? I don't think so. They have great individual players.. but so does Italy. So does England. Both have already booked their flights home.

On Sunday USA will win their 2nd match against Portugal.. then they'll lose to Germany.. before moving on to the round of 16.

I don't know who will win this game to be honest, but in the pool I had to go with Portugal. Traditionally they're the stronger team, I went with the odds.

But as we all know, USA teams in just about any sport have a way of beating the odds, and you find yourself saying "those damn Americans!"... am I right? am I right? Of course I am.

It would be absolutely unheard of if not outright preposterous that USA wins the world cup, and that is precisely why you shouldn't count them out.

It's nice to see that game on the schedule and be able to seriously not think 4-0 against the US. That in itself is a huge step up for American teams.
